Kadet 2 problem with maxed out sight adjustment
« on: September 30, 2018, 06:46:47 AM »
Hi,

I have a problem with my new Kadet 2. I have tried to adjust the sight for a six o clock hold for bullseye shooting. But with the sight maxed out it still does not shoot high enough.
What are my options? Is there a rear sight with more adjustment availble? Should I get a shorter front sight?

My options are limited because I can not order parts from any American store that does not ship international.

Any help appreciated.

A shorter front sight would be the least expensive option.

If you can't source a new shorter sight, you could always file the one you have.

When I shot bullseye with open sights, I used a center hold. Have you tried that?
I had the right to remain silent...

but not the ability.

I have tried a direct point of aim, and for precision you got really poor contrast with a black target. Will order a new fiber optic sight from CZ eu store.

Since the original sight height is 6,5mm I think a 6mm sight will be enough. Now just to figure out what rear sights will fit.

Patrik.H--I completely understand the 6 o'clock hold for bullseye shooting.  I would do the same.  Once you get your front sight height right, you should buy a spare barrel retaining pin or find one at the hardware store and periodically replace it.  It will break eventually.  If you are a high volume shooter, that is the only real weak point in the assembly.

The gun will cycle well and function without any problems with a 17# hammer spring and clean chamber and guide rails, and oil, not grease on the rails.
