Anyone checked one of these out? A friend and I feel Remington forgot how to make a shotgun, but learned how to make a 1911. He bought two that ran perfect, made one his carry gun and wouldn't sell it. It seems these days guns are hit or miss. High capacity .45's. lets talk about them.

I wouldn't mind trying one, but I'm definitely try before buy. It basically becomes a SAO .45 ACP "answer" to the CZ 40B I already own.

Would be hard for me to part with my early model (Canadian made) Para-Ordnance P14-45.
Super sweet hard chromed gun massaged by Tussey Custom.
The reason Remington does a good job with their high cap 1911 is because they are Para-Ordnance pistols in Remington clothing.

...I'm sure it'd fun at the range. As far as in a holster on my belt, I'm thinking that would get old quick :-)

Just prior to the 1994 Crime Bill, I had brief ownership of a Para-Ordnance P14. Try as I might, I just couldn't get used to it's grip. Un-employment and an offer I could not refuse, got me to sell it at a good profit. Also, I had fallen in love with a different double stack .45, the Tanfoglio made .45 Witness, of which I now own two of. Other .45's have come and gone and I own two 1911's, but the EAA imported .45 Witness will always be my favorites of the bunch. The older 1992 vintage .45 Witness was my Winter Carry Pistol for about 5 years. Both .45 Witnesses have been favorites for USPSA/IPSC Limited 10 Major competition and remain so.

SAR K2-45 .45, 2013
The more recent addition to my .45 ACP battery, the 14 round capacity SAR K2-45, is also a great handgun. However, I've found it a bit too heavy for carry. Tried it once.
A new Hi-Cap .45 that interests me, is the new Ruger American. Won't know if I like it until I get a chance to shoot one.
Too bad Remington has forgotten how to make Shotguns, as I have an old 12 gauge Remington 1100 that I dearly love.

Thanks guys. I had a para P-16-.40 and had to send it back. Twice. This was 20 years ago. I learned to love a Dremel and make things work. Looks like I will have to be test rat. Oh God the lady is going to be mad. lolololol.

My Gen 4 Glock 21 has never failed me. I don't like a bastardized 1911

I don?t know about the double stack but my Remington R1 Carry Commander has been flawless. I know Remington has had a lot of issues over the past several years but they make some nice 1911?s.

If they made made 15 round mags for a 97 I'd be all in. I think you make a good point and got me thinkin'. Thanks.
