hi guys just trying to find out if anyone has a K2P and if so have you found a compatible holster...i know that nobody makes one specifically for the K2P yet but are there any holsters out there that my gun will fit into...i was given an army issued holster that hangs low from your belt and straps around your thigh but i found that the K2Ps slide is too wide to fit all the way into the holster...main because of the safety and slide lock tabs
anybody have this gun and the same problem or any suggestions on a compatible holster?
-
nobody? please anybody give me some help
-
I'll be able to tell you soon, as I have an SAR K2P 9mm on order, and will be picking it up next week (Wednesday 24 April 2013).
Just bought it today. 8) Now the waiting period. :(
I also have quite a collection of Holsters to try it in, so I should be able to come up with something.
Please be Patient! :)
Edit Note: As the SAR K2P is relatively new on the Market, there are not a lot of us with one, yet. But the few that do, should chime in.

X-Kaliper
I just picked up one of these yesterday, can not wait to get to my range to test it out. I also have a EAA Witness Full Sized .45ACP. I emailed EAA yesterday to ask them the same questions you have asked.
They emailed me back this morning and here is what they said:
"Sir,
The Baby Desert Eagle 9mm holsters will fit this model of your gun, the SAR K2P 9mm. We currently do not offer a holster specifically for your gun at this time. Since this gun is just now gaining popularity, companies should start producing molds for your gun.
Thank You,
EAA Corp"

Thats good to know i found a few of those on ebay so i may get one to see how well they fit...also i stopped in at my local walmart just to get a temporary holster to keep the gun protected while its in my truck and actually found a decent holster for $13...Its a Blackhawk nylon holster size 2...its made for revolvers but the K2P fits pretty nicely inside it...has slots for your belt and a strap with a simple snap button...nice inexpensive holster if your not trying to conceal carry
although I will still get a conceal carry holster for it as well...best way to conceal this gun that i have found is in pants middle of the back..Im a skinnier guy so its easily seen on my hip...for me it also fits in the front against my inner thigh and stays pretty well hidden there as well but its not the most comfortable place for it either

So far in my research into Holsters for the SAR K2P 9mm, the following fit:
Fobus Paddle Holster #SP11 (No retention, but fits like it was made for it)
Crosman Generic Pistol Holster P/N SAH02A510 ( often found at Wally World and other stores, usually around $10 )
Tagua Open Top Leather raised OWB Holster #BH3-635 (Black, Right Hand) (Will require a bit of Stretching for use, but fits tightly) (Made for Springfield XD-S)
I have a few other Holsters, such as a fairly generic vertical shoulder rig that also fits, but it is no longer made.
I'm sure there are other good Holsters for this fine Pistol, so feel free to add them here.

Seems we've got multiple threads with K2P holster information requested in them . .
I found a few on eBay for the baby eagle for $20-$35...but some are molded to fit the eagle so I would think it would not fit the k2p...any thoughts?
A friend bought one of these for a his Beretta 8000, and his SAR K2P fits fine.

(The holster's not "US MADE" as advertised, but made in Turkey)

I got the same response from EEA when I asked what holster will fit my SAR B6P compact. Both have a 3.8" barrel. The K2P has rails the B6P does not.
The Baby Desert Eagel holsters has a few styles (with or without rails, full size or compact, steel or polymer) .
I purchased the following from CDNN for my B6P compact and the fit is good. Jericho .45 Mid-Size Steel Frame Kydex Paddle Holster New Front Line. The price was $14.99.

So went out today and bought a fobus sp11 holster...the K2P snaps right in...my only question is that the muzzle doesn't quite come flush with the edge of the holster...is there something I need to adjust or is the Springfield pistol just a longer gun?....I know I could probably just look the dimensions up but wanted to chime in that I bought one and it does snap right in securely

Muzzle fit is irrelevant, so long as the gun fits securely in the holster.

Yes, the Springfield XD has a slightly longer Barrel and Slide. The only adjustment screw available on that Holster is near the Trigger Guard area, but it's best kept as loose as possible. My SAR K2P's Muzzle are comes within about 1/4 inch of the end of the Fobus SP11 Holster, which is actually a pretty good fit, as the Muzzle end of your SAR K2P will be covered, which is desirable.
-
When you say keep the screw as loose as possible...are you saying to do that for ease of draw or is it for fit reasons...I didnt mess with it at all and the gun sort of snaps into the holster

Ease of draw, mostly.

Its a very comfortable holster to wear too...haven't gone really far with it so far but put it on after work the other day and carried my K2P around the property and while working with our horse...forgot I had it on a few times
-
Got a Bianchi 6D size 16 IWB holster today (Glock 20/21, Springfield XD, etc.), fits the K2P well. It's a little longer than the SAR, but you could trim that .2" off the end if it bothers you. My only gripe is I wish the holster rode a little lower on my belt.
-
The Safariland Custom Fit #568-744-411 is a perfect fit for SAR K2P
-
I know this is old but I used some info on here and thought I would share, the aalien gear holsters IWB hybrid for the baby desert eagle fits very good not perfect, but more than good enough for use and it was 37$ shipped.

Cook's Holsters in North Georgia will custom make any of their holsters to fit your Witness or Whatever. The following statement is from their website " If you have a gun that is not listed and you are local to the North Georgia area we offer a while you wait service. You can bring your gun to our shop and we will make you any of our products while you wait at the same price they are selling in the store. Give us a call at 404-408-8538 to set up an appointment. Most appointments are for evenings and weekends to work around your schedule." Their work is well regarded and modestly priced.

The foxx iwb holster for the sig 2022 fits like it was made for the k2p!! Mine just arrived in the post today. Was about 50$ shipped I believe, nice leather back with kydex pocket. I got the "hybrid" model. Also slightly unrelated the mec gar 19 rnd cz75 magazine works perfectly as well!
-
Woohoo. I just ordered a leather iwb from daltechforce.com and was able to just choose the sar k2p from the drop down menu. I know this thread is kinda old but I hope it helps someone. $43 not bad if it's good leather. I'll report when I get it.

Very curious as to how this fits and works, please let us know your impressions and if you can pictures of the fit. I had a hybrid OWB leather/kydex custom made from a guy local to me. I would personally like to know about this one though.
-
I will. It will be a good 10 days before I receive either but I will definitely update. Pictures should be no problem either.

We never heard back from you on this holster Smokescreen. How is it?

newbie here.
Love all the info and pics on the holsters very helpful. I have only one question, anyone found an IMI,ITac or Blackhawk that will fit the K2P?
-
Its my first ever post on this forum and it actually takes the form of a useful contribution.
While waiting on my P-01 to arrive, I lucked into a K2P. You guys know how they just can't be laid aside, right?
After the first snap cap was destroyed from a bazillion dry fires while abusing this astounding trigger, I realized I could never put this thing down. It must remain with me inpertuity.
The only holster in my possession with even a remote chance of a fit is one I bought at a gun show a few years back. It was purchased for my gen 3 glock 19. Miraculously, it fits as snug as OJ's glove. I only paid 10 or 12 $'s for it.
I can just make out the mfg's name on the tiny tag stitched into the inner seam: "made in China". Should make it easy to find LOL

Question for the group; I ordered an alien gear holster, IWB. As they don't offer the k2p as a choice, what is the best fit from the following:
CZ75 - Compact
CZ75 - Full Size
CZ75 P07
CZ75 SP-01 Phantom (what I chose, but the mold was damaged so they couldn't make it)
CZ75B - Compact
CZ75B - Full Size
Canik 55 Shark FC
Sig SP2022 (what I ended up going with instead)
Fortunately, they will exchange the kydex shell within 30 days free, and I can always order a different shell in the future if I change weapons. Anyone have an idea on which would be the best fit? Hoping I chose right.
-
I would have tried an Aliengear shell for the Springfield XD
-
It seems counterintuitive that a Springfield XD would fit better than a CZ model. I guess I'll have to wait and see how if fits the Sig, and switch kydex shells if necessary. Thanks for the advice.
-
I had a local guy make a kydex holster for my SAR B6. It's IWB and OWB just by moving the clips. SAS Custom Holsters http://sascustomholsters.com/Home.html
-

One would think so and the P07 has a similar front profile. Trouble is, the SAR K2P tends to be a bit larger. YMMV

The trigger guard on the K2P is round where the P07 is squared

I finally received the holster, and I really like it. Very comfortable to wear, I hardly notice it. The good news is that the K2P fits nicely in the Sig SP2022 shell, so I'll keep it. I'll report back after I've had time to wear the holster for a few weeks.
-
I just recently shot my K2P 9mm and this gun is very underrated. It was very smooth and accurate out of the box.

The full Safariland Part Number on my Holster is 568-744-411,
and the package lists
Springfield XD 9mm, .40, .357
.45 Sig Sauer, P229
While I can't be sure of the Amazon listing, I would venture that that Holster will fit.
Sadly, Safariland no longer has a Table listed that shows all of the Pistols my Holster will fit.

I am busy with special project orders for the next couple of weeks and then I will make a short run of leather holsters in some different colors and styles.

Picked up the Blackhawk Sportster Universal Holster (Size 6) today at Wal-Mart for $19.96, can be OWB or IWB, on belt or clip on... Fits the K2P very nicely, it could be perhaps slightly snugger, but Wal-Mart didn't have the Size 5 in stock, so I am not sure how well it would have fit, but Size 6 fits well. Probably won't give the speediest draw, but holds the pistol well.

Greetings: I ask for patience, this is my first post...and I'm attempting to attach a pic.
This holster was made from an Old Faithful kit. Sadly, Old Faithful no longer offers this but a very similar item is for sale on eBay. The MDJ Store, seller "Mesota" offers kydex and leather kits quite similar to this.
There are plenty of instructional videos on youtube to walk you through the process of molding the kydex. It's fun and reasonably jeopardy-free because you can throw the kydex back into the oven to re-mold it if you aren't satisfied with the outcome(providing you haven't drilled the mounting holes yet).
This is an evening's worth of work. I did make a holster for a TriStar T100 with the MDJ kit that turned out very nice as well. The leather does a nice job of keeping one comfortable.

This is the holster I had made for my K2P.

The witness p carry and compact have the same slide and are mechanically identical to the k2p and alien gear makes holster for the compact. I'm ordering one and will let you know how it works

While they might be the same mechanically on the inside aesthetically they're not. The forward/top of the Witness slide has a large radius on both sides, whereas the forward/top of the K2P is more square with a smaller radius. While the Witness would probably fit into a kydex holster for the K2P I don't think a K2P will squeeze into one for the Witness. Not able to post pics right now or I would show you but a Google image search would turn up examples for comparison.

Hi all. I know this thread is long in the past, but I found a nice serpa holster that the gun fits like a SIG in it. It's a blackhawk serpa for the SIG PRO 2022. It's model is 410508BK-R.
