Anyone?
I recently picked up a P-09 Urban Grey with the threaded barrel and suppressor height sights. I don't intend to make this gun an EDC but I still like to have at least one good holster for every pistol I own. I'm thinking it's gonna be tough to find one that will fit this gun. Anyone know of some good options?
-
Black Rhino Concealment, they've got one of the most extensive lists of firearms and light combo's I've ever seen AND, for the "UG" folks, they also do Extended barrel and taller-sight options to make sure your holster is perfect. I run one for my Glock G20 with the TLR3/TB/Suppressor Sights etc. and it's awesome. They also ship with the IWB and OWB belt-loops so it'll do dual duty.
Cheers

I also have the new 75B Omega UG (91235). I am currently using the ambidextrous Allen nylon holster and also have a Black Hawk Surpa Standard for IDPA use. The gun fits well in the Allen and the holster affords a pouch for an additional mag. Costs @ $15.00 and also comes with the retention straps for use if desired. The BlackHawk Standard Surpa ($20.00) is wearable clipped to the belt of your jeans or a dedicated and angle adjustable option to be fitted to a dedicated comp. belt. I know these are not the holsters most talk about, but for me, they work and are within my budget.

T. Rex Arms Raptor or Sidecar holsters will also work. I carry my UG P07, AIWB, in a Raptor holster.

I found out today my Galco Fletch holster for my FNX-45 fits the P09 UG pretty good. Little bit loose at the top but not enough to pull the gun out without popping the thumb break. Think I'll go with it for a while if I wanna pack the P09.
On a separate note I DID order a Raven Concealment "Morrigan" today for my Glock 19/23. Those 2 are pretty much my only pistols I ever carry concealed anyway. Looking forward to trying out the Raven. It looks like a comfy IWB holster.

A couple Kydex options might be Black Dog Concealment or KT Mech. BDC has the sight channel for tall sights and option for a threaded barrel. KT will accommodate if you include a note when you order. I've going to order one for my P-07 UG ... tough call though. I've had a KT Gunfighter for a few years for my FNP-9 and it works great so I'm leaning towards that.

I ordered the kydex Nocturnal Sidewinder for my P-09's with TLR-HL from Off The Grid Concepts LLC. This holster has a feature that allows it to also be used when the light is removed by inserting a removable piece through the holster. Although I ordered it for my P-09's, I was pleased to find it also works with my P-07's with and without the same TLR-1 HL, as well as the tall suppressor sights on the UG model although I did not specify this feature when I ordered.
https://otghex.com/products/nocturnal-sidewinder-series/?navselect=group2
Rob Tran, the owner, made the holster to fit a TLR-1, believing the TLR-1 HL had the same dimensions. When it arrived, I discovered that the HL version was slightly wider than the TLR-1 and would not allow easy insertion of the light-equipped pistol. I called Rob, returned the holster and my light, and he quickly made the necessary adjustments and had it back in my hands in a flash. Rob was very responsive throughout the process and my original order arrived earlier than projected.
I don't use it for concealment but its great at the range. I would have no problem using it for OWB concealed carry with a coat or vest, however.

A friend of mine swears by TRex holsters. They can be built for plain pistols or pistols with any combination of lights/lasers, suppressor height sights, optical sights and extended threaded barrels. He has a P-07 UG but TRex makes holsters for the P-09 also.

I have a po7 and use IWB Alien Gear 3.0 Works fantastic..
At a really good price you can order the double holster one inside one outside the waistband

I went to the TRex website and didn't find a holster for the P09 :-\.

Not sure which holster you looked at ... they offer both the Raptor and Sidecar holsters for the P07 and P09, with or without support for a weaponlight.
I carry my RMR'd UG P-07 with X300 every day in a light-bearing Raptor holster.

I just got my TREX Raptor holster for my Gen 2 regular P07 yesterday. Tried it out AIWB all day yesterday, still getting use to it. The sight channel looks large enough to accommodate suppressor sights. On a side note, I bought an extra "Raptor Claw" and put it on my Alien Gear Tuck 2.0 to try AIWB as well, must say, not a bad option at all. Kind of wish I just bought the "Claw" first, would have saved $68.

Probably because I was looking at the Ragnarok and the Titan, I'm looking for a holster that I can attach to my Safariland setup on my battle belt.

That would explain it :)
I have been petitioning them about making the Ragnarok for CZs... the Titan would also be nice!
Fury Holsters make a Range series holster similar in design to the Ragnarok and they do offer it for the P-07/P-09.

How's the raptor holding up for you? I'm wanting to try AIWB carry and a friend recommended that I try that one.

I've carried in a light-bearing raptor daily for almost a year now and it is as good as new.
I did switch out the clip for one of the new Bravo Concealment clips and I added velcro to the back and use a Dr. Scholls heel pad - both have been solid improvements.
I can post some pics later if you like...

That would be awesome. I think I've narrowed it down to the raptor or possibly the Clearwater Tactical Triton. The Triton doesn't have the raptor claw, but it's a bit less cost-wise.

Ok - I'll follow up with some pics in a bit.
I will say that the claw is the standout feature - after using it I would not consider a holster without one ;-)

Does it work well in positions other than AIWB carry?

It would depend on your expectations, I'd say. The design allows you to remove the claw and use the supplied QuickClip (to get a bit of a cant) for strong side carry. For me that was a "fallback" feature I thought I might need, as I was moving back to appendix after a year of carrying behind the hip with another gun, but I never even needed to try it. ;-)
Here are pics. My holster and mag carriers are done up in MAS Gray kydex... kind of a brown/gray mix which complements the Urban Gray of my CZ rather well I think.

What is the blue rubber for and what are those black wings that stick out from the side of the holster??????

The blue rubber pad is a Dr. Scholls gel heel pad. I found it a little more low profile than a foam wedge and cheaper to replace. It aids with comfort.
The black wing is a claw that lines up under your belt to tuck in the butt of the gun as you tighten up your belt. Works extremely well.

How comfortable is it to go from standing to sitting while wearing that IWB in the appendix position ?

No issues for me. I wear my holster as high as it will go and it rides in the pelvic crease, shifting up slightly when I sit. The longer length of the holster (due to the X300) actually makes it ride more comfortably for me.
I will add that I've had better luck with larger guns/longer holsters - the shorter guns (I carried a G19 and an XDs this way at different times) tended to dig into my groin and try to roll out away from my belt line.

No thank you, I'll stick with my Alien Gear cloak tuck 3.0

Fine but let me see you carry that appendix with a weaponlight ;-) Mission drives gear choice, as they say.
If my requirements allowed I might would have a simpler carry setup, although after carrying this for a year (and a similarly equipped HK VP9 behind the hip for a year prior) I barely notice it anymore unless I get my mag carriers on wrong and they dig into my hip LOL
I've grown to really like having the WML and RMR on my carry gun.
-
Is that their shielded or unshielded option for the threaded bll ?

The thread protector on the barrel protrudes slightly... I'd say unshielded.
I was initially concerned about that but have had no issue with it. I don't get burned when reholstering during longer range sessions and the slightly shorter holster is (I imagine) more comfortable than if it fully covered things.

For me the Alien Gear 3.0 is more comfortable IWB on the right hip at 3:30 ..no light,

I have been carrying with a Cloak Tuck 3.0 for 2 months with the P07 Urban Grey. It's moderately comfortable. But I am not going to say it is "the best" option.
Comparing it to my all leather - 5 Shot Leather Uncle Lou holster for either my Officers ACP or Combat Commander , there is no comparison , the Uncle Lou destroys it for comfort.Hands down.
The A.G. Cloak Tuck is a decent under $60 option, but I have had the following issue with mine:
When wearing at 3 or 4 o'clock , and I draw fast , when it clears the holster the safety is clicked off by the holster. They did send me a replacement shell, but I find it too is causing the same thing. If I draw slow and with no forward pressure at all , it is ok , but the slightest forward pressure and the safety is off when I clear the holster.
Coming from carrying a 1911 for the past 30 years , I am used to disengaging the thumb safety as the gun is coming on target. So this spooked me a bit.
I plan on removing some material /reshaping the kydex on one of the shells this weekend.
-
I've been paying closer attention to my grip coming out of the holster and it was off, having to reposition my hand a second after the draw. I realized I wasn't getting high enough on the beaver tail of the po7. So I slid the pistol out of the Kydex to the point where the trigger is still covered but raised the gun up almost an inch. I used to heat gun on the bottom part of the Kydex and folded it under to keep the gun from going down any further. Now I find I get a higher grip on the beaver tail.
-
I'm partial to the Clearwater Tactical triton myself 😆 Good thing they can add a claw on there! How's a fella post for "business" reasons (asking for a friend) By the way Mr. Dean how's she working out for you?

Which holster is this? It looks like it fits the P09 urban grey, tall sights, with suppressor 5.15" Haven't been able to find one.
