Harder to find than I thought. Well worth it. Accurate as the 75b, which is saying something. The trigger heavy on double action, but breaks clean. The single action is a joy. I had a tough time ejecting a full 10 round magazine, the magazine release button would NOT be depressed. I loaded a round in the chamber and it worked but it was still two stiff. I fired two magazines and the problem went away. Anyone else have this trouble? The night sights are really good. I didn't know the 97 came with them. I'm leaving them alone. AT 25 yards from a rest, three shot's in the center of a three inch bull's eye, two touching the line. First time I fired it! I'm very pleased. CZ P-01, PCR, P-09. CZ 82, (a few), 75b, Kadet Kit, and now the 97. I'm done. Well, maybe. No way to post photo's?

You're really going to enjoy that 97! New or used? B or BD model? Was your slide closed when you tried ejecting the full magazine? The double action on my 97 B is good with no mods after some break-in. Single action is very smooth now, also. Bought mine new from Bud's about 2 years ago and have noticed these guns are a bit scarce. Lucky you to have found one!

The more you shoot it...the more impressed you will be with it!

Bought it new. The action was closed, couldn't get that magazine release button depressed.

My 97 BD has been a wonderful large sized caliber weapon. the darned thing will pretty much shoot right there with my better 1911's.
I am at around 3-4 000 rounds now and shes a smooth operating lady for sure.
of the common CZ models the 97 is likely the hardest to find in stock in my part of the world (Atlanta area.)

That 10th round is a tight fit in a new magazine and it will be pushed against the bottom of a closed slide pretty hard. It's not surprising a new magazine release might be harder to press under that condition.

Thanks for all the help, Gentlemen. The magazine release did free up after 20 rounds. Still a little stiff, but workable. Since I'm ejecting a partial magazine in mis-fire drills, it's really not an issue. I really like this pistol. I've been carrying a P-01 and CZ75b for CCW, and a P-09 for open carry, so the basics with the 97 are pretty much what I'm used to. I have to shoot an LESB course this month to keep my LEOSA credentials valid, and I'm planning on using the 97 this year.
