I agree, my 97 is much softer shooting than my all steel 1911 with the same ammo. Not sure why, there's only a couple ounces difference in weight, but I suspect it's weight distribution, that full length dust cover on the 97 puts the weight more forward. Whatever the reason, the 97 has replaced my 1911 as my most accurate pistol, and has also become my favorite. Now if I could just get the chance to go shoot it some more! Later.
