Congrats on this one.  Hope to hear a range report coming soon.
The seller on GB send it to me with a broken side plate assembly, I lucked out and found another one that should be arriving tomorrow, he gave me a $20 rebate. I got a busy week maybe hit the range next weekend. Love it so far fits my hand like a glove.

Mine came in today.  It will most definitely be a project gun for me.  Right now, the trigger has an 11# DA and 7# SA and the SA has a rough feel to it.  This thing is a tank though.  It weighs in empty at 40.7 oz.

Hey Tim? Did you get a chance to open up that 40 and do polishing?

I did.  The trigger is still on the high side on a trigger gauge but you would never guess then when you shoot it.  The 8# DA feels more like a very crisp 6# and the 6# SA feels like 3#.  It is one of the best pistols I have in terms of trigger feel right now.  The pull weights don’t communicate the feel at all.  It really did bring something to the table that I had not had in my collection before.

I totally agree on the trigger mine is the same way.
I think my new to me 4516 - 1 might be smoother. I recently got rid of the bright shine on the slide and frame made it more of a brushed look it turned out great. I also re-profiled the undercut at the back of the trigger guard and got rid of the Annoying point that sticks out near the mag release.
I got to find another picture hosting site so I can post pictures. Can you recommend a free picture hosting site.
