I got the floating trigger pin for $16.xx shipped.  I pressed it right in
with my thumb -- I didn't even need a punch or hammer.  I hope
it is really going to stay in place during shooting.  I notice that it
pokes back out very easily as well with a tiny punch and *no* hammer --
just pushing with my fingers on the punch.  (I am using the original trigger-spring.)

  • I've shot the rest, I now own the best - CZ
The pin is smaller in diameter in the middle, right.

The coils of the trigger return spring sort of set in that smaller diameter area and that's what holds the pin in place.  There is always pressure on that spring (more when you pull the trigger, less when it's just resting) and that keeps the pin in place.

When I order parts, I order extra small stuff (other springs, pins, etc.) to have as spares and to make the shipping "more worth it."
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I put the floater in a couple of my CZ's.Yes it can move back and forth just a bit. No it absolutely will not come out unless you intentionally drive it out.

Perfect time for a floating pin, straight blade trigger, and a SA conversion!!  The hard part already got done by accident! lol

The CGW's floating trigger pin should be a standard CZ upgrade.

Delayed update:  Upon looking back at my records, cz-usa (in the usa) had worked on the trigger of
this gun to make it less gritty.   I *suspect* that the fault may lie in cz-usa and not in cz-overseas.
In other words, I am guessing cz-usa messed up the pin when they smoothed the gritty-trigger...

A COMPLETE re-spring and floating pin is a must but do be careful if this is your daily carry pistol.
ANY MODS to the gun will not reflect well in court and the defense attorney for the scumbag tweaker you wounded, will be all over that bleep...
A little re-flaring of both ends of the garbage factory trigger pin should cure the problem...
A complete re-spring is a must? That is simply untrue. Plenty of people do just fine with OEM springs in a new CZ. All the OP has to do is flare the factory pin slightly, problem solved. Adding a floating pin is beneficial, but not necessary.

This is a fact. There is no must to respring, Cajun has done a very good job of upgrading a ton of folks guns (mine included) and making them pretty sweet shooting guns. At the same time they have done an even better job of making a lot of people think they are a must if you want a good CZ handgun...….kudos to Cajun. But not the case. Flare - re install - shoot for 10's of 1,000's of rounds.
