I had a pin walk out the left side of the gun (see pics attached) after only 578rounds fired since brand-new.

Looks like the other side of the trigger pin wasn?t flared enough. You could reflare it, or call CZ and they?ll take care of it.
Or......If it was me, I?d get a floating Trigger pin and reduced power TRS from Cajun Gun Works and call it a day. [emoji6]

Floating trigger pin, and a reduced power trigger return spring from CGW, will solve two problems at once, stop the trigger pin from walking out again, and give you a better DA trigger pull..

If you do as suggested above, which I agree 100% with. If you do not like that very curved trigger, it would be an excellent time to put in a 85 Combat trigger that is also available from CGW.

A COMPLETE re-spring and floating pin is a must but do be careful if this is your daily carry pistol.
ANY MODS to the gun will not reflect well in court and the defense attorney for the scumbag tweaker you wounded, will be all over that bleep...
A little re-flaring of both ends of the garbage factory trigger pin should cure the problem...

I won't deny that I am disappointed.  If parts were just falling out of my chinese ak-47 or
my bulgarian makarov, I would be going berserk.
If I just insert the  $13 floating-trigger-pin into the hole in the right side of the gun and tap
it in with a hammer, will that cause the original spring to be/stay in place while the original roll-pin pushes out of the gun?
Or is that too optimistic?
Why is CZ putting these roll-pins in the guns if that are so crappy?

  • I've shot the rest, I now own the best - CZ
It's not a "roll" pin.  It's a solid pin.

And, anytime I've removed one I had to use a punch and hammer to drive it out.  Very tight.

The floating pin, recommended in an earlier post, is held in by the coils of the trigger return spring.

I've never had either pin style, factory, or CGW floating pin, work it's way out like that.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

That is not a roll pin it is basically solid with the ends machine flared over to hold the pin in place. They are generally very reliable and it is rare to see one come out like that.
Yes you could probably drive the floating pin in from the right and the old pin out. Take your time and be sure everything is running straight.

Can you cite a case where this happened? If you are in court it is your use of deadly force that is question not your gun and if your use of force is in question then your claim of self defense is not so cut and dried.

A complete re-spring is a must? That is simply untrue. Plenty of people do just fine with OEM springs in a new CZ. All the OP has to do is flare the factory pin slightly, problem solved. Adding a floating pin is beneficial, but not necessary.

This is patently false and untrue.  It's time to stop spreading mis-information.

I had slide stop spring fell out of the gun on my relatively new p01 omega.  Pulled the slide off for cleaning and it fell out.  Luckily I did not loose the small pin in there.  Its my first cz.  Sent it back to CZ.

I wouldn't say it false or untrue.    I'm not quite sure how I feel about the subject myself.

Massad Ayoob has discussed this subject and makes some good arguments.

That article is from 2011. How about citing specific cases for proof. Otherwise just another thread hijack.
