Gen 5 Glock 19 extended slide stop/ take down lever install. I had put one on my Gen 4 with zero problems because it had a captured spring. Took about 30 seconds. The Gen 5 has an un-captured spring . I watched 2 videos and of course it looked so easy. Just don't let the spring go flying out ,tilt the lever up, and push in with one finger while pushing spring down with another finger while holding frame with rest of fingers and sticking your tongue out a little to help balance the whole ordeal. After several attempts--zing goes the spring. I heard it land to my left. Call out to my wife to help with the search for the little #!**^%$#. After about 10 minutes of searching I stepped on it with my bare foot. Wife leaves. Will call this attempt 2----zing to my right-------- Honey I need your help. Ten more minutes, got it------wife stays. Attempt 3 (may have been one other escape attempt I can't remember) # 3---------zing to my right. My wife says I think it went in the floor vent. I'm thinking of course it did. I get a flashlight and lift off vent cover. There it is------------- right in a crevice(of course it is). I had to get a magnetized screw driver to get it out. We get a pillow case and put the frame inside to keep that little #**^%$# from flying to freedom again. My wife gives it try with her smaller hands . No luck. She leaves. I try several more times and finally stick everything inside the pillow case and do it by feel. YES,VICTORY . Looking back yes it was funny!!!!!!!!!!
