Thank you, sir.  I guess we'll just have to shoot one enough to wear it out to get our answer,
and that's ok with me!  Say, by the way, do you think a recoil buffer might be appropriate
in this application?

I am so glad I became a member of this Bord. Before I bought my 40B I had been oggling over it ever since I got my hands on the Guns and ammo sep 01 issue of hand guns with the 40B and Z40 on the cover. IMO this is the most under rated hand gun on the market, I just love it. BTW still haven't had a chance to test fire, I'll tell you as soon as I do... Promise .  Thank you all for all of the great advise.

P.S. I still have that issue, It's a great read.

Well the moment you have all been waiting for. I got out to the range this past Sunday to test the 40B with the upgrades I made. I ran a total of 200 rounds through it, 100 were 165 grn FMJ range rounds, 50 165 grn HP's and 50 180 grn HP's. All fed, fired and ejected with no issues what so ever. The polished feed ramp and 18 lb Wolf recoil spring is just what the doctor ordered. The slide speed and lock up are greatly improved, it locks into battery with a nice firm feel and feeds the rounds smooth as silk. The new 12 round mags also functioned with out any issues. This by far is the best hand gun I own for the money, it's a big winner!  If any of you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them. Thanks for the support and a great sight.

I have a question! What's your next CZ pistol going to be?

(Several board members can attest that it's kinda hard to stop at just one.  )

Trust me I'm already thinking about it . Maybe a 75 compact or   Rammi, who knows there are so many great choices. But for now I'll just this one. It is truly just as good as any pistol costing three times as much, yes I am a happy CZ owner. BTW I just got a package in the mail from   CZ USA this evening, and inside were my new 40B base plates for the new 12 round mags...

Thanks! I'm itching to get back out to put more rounds down range. The funny thing is I own a few real nice hand guns but I find myself wanting to shoot the 40B and leave the others in the safe. Still can't believe Colt didn't run with this, fools. Got to go shootin soon!

I already know what your next CZ will be gentlemen...it will whisper to you when you can least resist it. Be it a CZ75/85 or a CZ82/83 (both ripper little blowbacks), or another CZ 40 B (maybe with the Colt rollmarks).
