RSR is selling these to dealers for $399.95 plus shipping.  My local FFL told me that the contract was for guns to go to Mexico and something happened, perhaps an overrun.  It is a lead-pipe cinch that Mexico isn't paying $400 for them.  I am interested in the trigger system as well.  My 75B was tuned by a master gunsmeith and it still cams, though very slightly.

Who/what is RSR and how do I order from them?

OK..curiosity finally got the best of me..went down to the LGS and they had one in stock. got a them to pull the top so I could see what was up inside. they were busy..so this was a really quick look

no ejector housing..they fit the ejector to a slot cut in the frame. they use a pin that is held by the frame ( same set up as the decocker guns) that holds the sear and FPB lever. the sear is different. hard to say because I couldn't see the bottom or sides of it. it uses the wider SP01 Shadow hammer ( which is probably why there is no camming of the hammer in single action.)

the DA is still as heavy and gritty as a the other 75B guns, the SA has no camming, but still a little creepy and heavy. best guess its like 4#.
not sure of what all small parts are missing. noticed the hammer pin retaining pin is not used, but not sure of what else inside.

beavertail is nice, feels like the 75SA or SP01, top end is the same as a 75B

anyway..that's all I know.

went back to take another look..
the creep I was feeling in the SA trigger was the firing pin block being lifted. so once you are on the sear with the trigger its pretty clean at about 4#. should clean up nicely with some polish and new springs.

Mexico??  I thought Mexico was buying firearms at US gun shows to supply their military.

I was so favorably impressed with the Omega that I put one on layaway, though money is a bit scarce right now.  From how its trigger felt in the gunshop, I believe it could be the best CZ75B the factory has produced, ever.  But I realize the proof is in the shooting, which, for me, is still three months in the future, when the layaway is paid off.

Stuart - did you notice if the trigger pivot pin was different?  It would be nice if the fit of the pin and trigger has less side to side wiggle and is easier to remove and replace.  Also, any idea how is the hammer pin secured?

No ejector cage => should avoid problems from play that otherwise develops in the ejector cage after many rounds;
Shadow hammer => cleaner SA break
Beaver tail => nice

DP..sorry I didn't time to really look at the details of the gun. the counter person really wasn't supposed to take the gun apart so we were trying not to get caught by the store owner.. I'll try and get by there again.

I couldn't take the one apart locally, but the lack of ejector cage explains the large gaps in the back between the slide and the frame.

I'm sure glad that I found this thread.  Because of it, I was watching one on Gunbroker.  I went to my local gun emporium and found one of these Omega CZs in the store.  It was listed a bit on the high side at $724.  I explained to the owner that they are going for $430 on Gunbroker.  He agreed to the price and I'll pick up my newest CZ on Wednesday.  ;D

I purchased one on the 1rst  from a local dealer, put 500 rounds through it this past weekend ,
I like it a lot , the trigger has a little to much travel but it still has a nice feel to it, the whole package is
awesome ,I ran out of bullets,gonna need more bullets.
