Huh.....I blasted my grips also (see pic below) but they do not appear to be anywhere near as grainy/gritty as yours. I used glass bead and just lightly dusted them, just enough to knock off the cheesy, high gloss shine. Since then, I have been wiping them down with Rem Oil and rubbing it in with my thumb and they have become very smooth and quite beautiful, without the blinding gloss.
