Please bear with me, I'm not necessarily new to shooting, but I am new to having any gunsmithing work done, changing recoil springs, etc.
I shoot, clean, reload and repeat again and again.
I mostly shoot either a Dan Wesson .357 revolver (70s/80s Dan Wesson) or a Ruger MK 2 .22. I have on occasion shot about 200 rounds through a TA-90, which is a rough copy of the CZ 75 as far as I know.
Now for the list of questions, being a lefty, is the magazine release on the SP-01 reversible or am I just going to need to keep using my shooting finger to release the mag?
This is one I should know, but the exact answer keeps eluding me, is the SP-01 18+1, or 19+1?
Are all of the internal parts identical to the CZ-75, replacement firing pins, springs, extractors etc just standard CZ 75 parts?
Are the only differences between the regular 01 and the Tactical model the decocker/saftey now that the night sights are equipped on both?
When Angus produces a Shadow model, does he take a regular SP-01 off the shelf and make all of the changes, or are certain SP-01s made with the Shadow in mind?
Does Angus personally use the fiber sight or the competition heigth sight?
When using skate tape to improve the grip, do you guys put tape up the whole front and backstrap, or just at certain pressure points?
Where in the world can I find one of those tactical mounts/bayonets??!
And now just a couple of reloading questions, do any of you use non-FMJ, lead bullets in your 9mm loadings? I remember hearing that they are a bad idea in polygonal barrels (HK etc.) but I also heard once that they are a bad idea in rounds that aren't sub-sonic. I use Zero (or Roze..) lead bullets in my .38 loadings with no problems, but these are light target loads well below 1000 fps.
Also has anyone ever tried the 9mm bullets from
www.precisionbullets.com/ or has anyone heard of their quality?
I apologize for the long list, but if you could answer just one or more of these questions I would be greatful.
