iAmmo has some great prices on the SP 01s right now, with the safety version being less expensive.
Any reason choosing the tactical over the safety version?
I've standardized on DA/SA with decocker, prefer guns without safeties and don't like strikers. Yeah, I can find them new, but only online, nothing local, but what I'd really like to do is swap my PCR for one. I've bought very few new guns over the years, and most of those I lost money on when I sold/traded them. Used, I seem to do better, and better yet trading.
BTW, guys, this post was at least somewhat tongue in cheek, and probably a little premature as well. Although I've been shooting and carrying the SIG a lot more lately, I need to take both to the range and do some serious side by side comparison shooting. Whichever one I shoot best is the one I'll carry, if it's the SIG, the PCR will get traded/sold toward a Tactical. If the PCR wins, not sure what I'll do with the SIG. I don't need 2 range toy .45's, and the 97 BD fills that role quite nicely. But the SIG does make a good night table gun, and is the only pistol I own right now with a rail. And yes, I do have a light on it just for that purpose, but I don't carry it with the light mounted. Most of the reason behind the post was curiosity about the lack of Tacticals on the used market, seems like it's mostly plastic or higher end CZ's showing up. Later.
