Have any of you guys tried HS-6 or Autocomp or WSF or Longshot?

I tried the Blue Dot because I had some and because it is reported to work well in the 10MM.  Yeah, the 10MM takes more of it and goes faster but I thought I'd give it a try since it's the same case diameter and bullets.  Just less powder.

If Blue Dot works out for you it's not an expensive (per pound) powder but you'll use more of it.  You just have to decide if the group size makes it worth it.

Ordering on line results in shipping and hazmat charges - unless you catch those sales where the dealer has free/half price shipping and no hazmat fees (sometimes you have to order mulitple jugs of powder for those).  I just checked Powder Valley and they show 1 lb. of Blue Dot for $20 and 5 lbs. for $85.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Ya, sorry I was not thinking about the Canada thing.  My local range usually has decent 40SW for less than I can load it, so for me it is more about making high quality loads rather than cheap.

I have not tried the other powders mentioned, I?ve been using Blue Dot in 40SW since I got my first Glock 22 in the early 90?s and it has treated me well.  There are tricks to get it to meter well in the Uniflow, I usually slam the lever pretty forcefully and run about 50 charges through it before I start loading to compress the powder.

I got Power Pistol after reading some Handloader articles using it.  I like it, but wouldn?t say it is better than AA7 or Blue Dot.

Good Luck!

I?ve had good luck with a lighter .40 load using AA#5 under Extreme plated 180g bullets.  It?s a mild load and the 75B in .40 seems to like it.  That gun does have the 10X bushing from CGW in it too.  I just picked up an SP01 in .40 and have not worked out what it likes best yet.  The one trip I did with the AA#5 load seemed to yield good results but no serious testing has been done yet.

Indy-Tim, hopefully both guns will "like" the same load.  I hate having to have multiple loads for multiple guns.  So far, with the CZ's, I've been lucky.  My 9MM 115 grain hollow point load works well in all my 9's and the 135 and 140 grain .40 loads work will in the P guns, the TS and the new CZ75B.

Edited to add - I will say the P07 and P09 will accept longer COLs than the TS, so I had to shorten up my .40 loads.  The shorter loads work fine in the P guns still and in the CZ75B.  I took all the older "long" bullets and put them in one container to shoot up in my P07 and P09.

Today i fired 40 rounds through the chrono and found some accurate loads. Finally.  8.0 of HS6 behind a Zero 165 jhp gave me a 1.5" 5 round group at 15 yards @ 1112 fps. This load has a lot of snap to it.
I also fired my 180 grain campro plated bullets. Those liked 7.2 grains of HS6 giving me a group of 2 1/8" @ 964 fps.

Today i fired some of my new HS6 loads at 25 yards and i am very happy with the results. I got a 2.25" group and a 3" group which should have been a 1.75" but one shot had to ruin it. But its still pretty good lol

I seldom notice the "snap".  Usually just when I pick up the P07 after shooting a 9MM.  Once I'm "into" the P07 the muzzle blast and snap are things I'm aware of at times, but not every shot and not something I anticipate or worry about.

I know what you mean. I shot my dads 9mm recently. When i returned to my 40 it felt more lively.
When i made these knew loads i noticed the snap because its hotter than the loads i normally use.
