Roger that!
I tend to load out of the Hornady manual as components are readily available locally and fairly consistent. In 40 SW and 10mm, I can switch between their FMJ and XTP fairly reliably.
In full sized .40 & 10mm, I?ve had best luck with Blue Dot, AA7, and Power Pistol, all of which are good in other cartridges.
I have two loadings I like for 40 SW with both Blue Dot and AA7. For warm loads, about half a grain below recommended max. For mild loads, about 1.5 grains below recommended max.
In either powder/bullet, you should be able to get a major pf load at ~1gr below recommended max in the full sized 75b.
Personally for me, the warm load of Blue Dot has performed the best in my 75 (good velocity, low sd, excellent accuracy). If I was aiming for improving split times, ya, I?d go with a lighter charge of faster powder.
Looking at Brian Enos? forum for .40/10mm loading will give good results. Many people there are using faster powders, you might get some good W231 recipes off that.
Good luck!
