A tip if anyone is interested. When I bought my safe I was weary about having strangers move it. So I went to the hardware store, got some 1” pvc and cut about ten 3ft sections. I used a crowbar to pry one corner up and worked a section of pipe under then rolled it onto to the rest of the sections. Then of course as you roll it move the sections of pipe in front as they come out from under the safe. So I was able to move an over 900 lb safe easily by myself anywhere I wanted it.

NOTE: If you have a two story house this won’t help. ;D

You can push it to the stairs and off easily enough, if it's already on the second floor.

... To add my 2 cents, if you need a mover I have used these guys a couple of time. He has contacts almost everywhere.  https://nickoftimemoving.com/

nearly all of the gun shops in Northern IL / Southern WI that I have looked at use them for safe delivery. They make it a lot easier to get one up or down a flight of stairs (used them twice).

Yes. Meth heads don't want your TV or stereo any more... they want your handguns.

My wife is a choco-holic. Half my gun safe is filled with her chocolate... which I dole out 3 pieces at a time.  ;D

BTW... there are gun safes that disassemble for those that live in an apartment or on the 3rd floor.

Oh wow, I didn’t know there were gun safes that you could disassemble.

Just to be clear - they won't move gun safes across state lines...they will arrange to load it on your own transport and unload at the other end for you. Two separate payments of course as it's not the same guys at source and destination.

They may not do a cross country move, but they will definitely cross state lines. They moved a safe down a flight of stairs (my old apartment in the DPRI) and crossed the Cheddar Curtain to deliver it here in The Land of Beer and Cheese

My nickoftime move was Minnesota.  From bottom of my steep driveway ( where Winchester delivered) up the driveway across the lawn to back of the house, up 6 steps to deck, through back door across 24 foot room, down stairs and into basement room. Was less than $200 and took 2 guys a little less than 2 hours.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?
