Reliable and unreliable defense loads for the CZ 75B?
« on: October 03, 2021, 03:38:39 AM »
I started a similar thread a few years ago but I wanted to get updated answers. Also, there is another question I'd like to add.

I have the CZ 75B, made in 1996. Other than FMJ or flat nose FMJ ammo, what 147gr factory defense loads run reliably in my pistol? Which 147gr loads have not run well in the CZ 75B?

In my other thread from years ago, a few people mentioned Federal HST 147gr. I know that one runs well, so there's no need to mention it again unless they changed that particular ammo.

My other question is, what 115gr and 124gr defense loads run well in the CZ 75B. Which loads have been unreliable?

Thanks!

My 75 will function without issue with any of the common commercially available rounds in the defensive ammo category. My 75 has never been particularly choosey about what it likes to eat. I'm talking about the stuff your likely to find on the shelf at the lgs. Hornady, Federal, Winchester, and so on. I have not and likely will not try any of the more obscure and expensive exotic brands such as RIP and the like so I can't comment on those.

welcome,

hopefully you wont have to worry about such things, but i dont take OPO on it i will test/verify and go from there. And i get what you are trying to do - cut to the case and shorten the research process.

Also learning how to use my guns, clear malfunctions think on my feet and improvise if needed.  Again, so far, no need to test anything.

and i just shoot FMJ/Ball through my toys.  its just easier to buy/load/1 type of ammo for use in my toys.  Unless its a revolver and then i will load/use different loads if/when i want.

good luck
