All have to look into cast bullets after I burn up the rest of the Berrys that I have.  Southern Utah.

if you look at this photo, the case size DIFFERENCE is obvious.   You can tell one case is wider/larger diameter.

I bet you got some 40 S&W or something that bigger and processed it.  The primer pocket is larger diameter too.

i do not know of any 9mm brass that is using LP primers.

No, the headstamp clearly says 9mm. I think it was a combo overload and a weak piece of brass.

It is 100% 9mm.  Shot at a remote location where there was no other brass.  I picked up all of my brass.  40 S&W would not fit on. 9mm shell plate, which this one was processed on - Lee LM 5-station progressive press.  Lots of opinions on OOB, which I believe is a very likely scenario.  I have confirmed my CZ P10c will drop the striker about 1/8” out of battery.  Either way, also suspect it was an overcharged case, based on what happened to the case and the felt recoil, which was tremendous.

This would be virtually impossible. There's no way a .40S&W case will even fit the shell holder for 9mm and there's no possible way you could force it into a 9mm size die.
