I know Act shows CZ75 mags on their site but the question is are they actually supplying them to CZ?? Pro-Mag makes them too or they used to but we all know they are pure garbage. I'd say if Act is supplying CZ mags then your comment above about Colt looking to cut cost is likely accurate. This would be just the kind of cheap out Colt would do.

I would say supply issues.
Not to long ago, Mec-gar mags were pretty scarce and always out of stock.
I've looked at other brand new CZ pistols, most of those had mec-gar mags included.

They very well could have used ACT mag as a stop gap.
But I've got Act mags for Smith M&P, CZ full size and sig p220, all have been top notch.

Are they the ones for the tilting or non-tilting barrel model?
I really don't think it matters on which type of barrel they are used for.

I bought a P01 earlier this year, the mags included were not the typical Mec-gar mags.
They reeked of ACT mag, which I have several of the full size and are top notch.
That's interesting that CZ may have strayed to another magazine source after all these years. I have some ACT mags for a Beretta and they are not in the same league as the Meg-Gar versions I have on hand.

Top right of their webpage, ACT lists CZ75 mags: https://actmagusa.com/ourproduct/#products

Quote
CZ75 9mm 10rd/15rd/17rd

     Make: CZ75
     Caliber: 9mm
     Capacity: 10, 15, or 17 Rounds
     Basepad: Polymer
     Color: Blued
     Construction /Material: Metal

Note that the "Learn More" link returns a bad URL, and that round count holes appear to be every two on the side of the mag, not individual to the rear...
thanks SRS,  for the ACT URL, but the CZ mags supplied with my last three CZ gun buys came with mags that looked differently then the URL pic, my CZ stamped 15 witness holes are on the back side along with a 9 X 19 stamping. I would provide a pic if there was a normal, more seamless way do to so so on this forum.

Act mags for the CZ compact seem to be no where to be found but the factory and Mec-Gar versions are everywhere. CZ-USA has them and Greg Cote  has plenty as well others have them too so yeah who's to say for sure. Seems it would be far easier to wait on a normal supplier to catch up that to wait on a new supplier to tool up.
I have  more than 20 Mec-Gar 15 rounders and 30 of the old Mec-Gar 14 rounders with the flat steel base plate so I'm not really concerned what mags they ship with at this point.

Imgur is easy to use for this site: https://imgur.com/

Regardless, it sounds like they resemble the P10/P09/P07 series of mags (and none of my CZ75 series mags) -- do we know for certain if Mec-Gar is actually the manufacturer of these mags in entirety, or is that just an assumption?

Link to P10 15 round mag and pics: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1021435739?pid=354269

*Also note that MecGar is only selling 75 series mags on their website and none of the polymer series: https://mec-gar.com/

And purely spitballing -- but if these mags aren't Mec-Gar, I'd guess either Baltics (they remind me of the AREX mags that are supposedly mecgar bodies and their own components for the rest of the mag) or someone here in the US, as a manner of streamlining supply chains.

Just bought the new S2 compact.  It came will the non standard mags.
They also had a DWX compact, it had mec-gar mags.

These mags are NOT mec-gars.  Blued finish, black follower, 15 witness holes on back, stiffer spring.
They are identical to the full size ACT mags I own.

Mec-Gar only sells the 75 series mags on their site due to the fact that they have a non-competition agreement with CZ on the mags for the poly guns. this was documented by Mec-Gar on this forum a few years back when Mec-Gar actually had their own section.

Well that's unfortunate that they are cheaping out with mags at this point. Everyone shows the Mec-Gars in stock and Greg Cote always has the aftermarket Mec-Gars for far less than the factory versions. If they perform well for those who have them over the next couple years without complaints I'll consider them.
