So first impressions...the size is perfect, feels like about the size of the MP5, still qualified as a pistol, feels like and points like a carbine.
Controls feel stiff...a question, do all the Skorps have an ambi safety switch like mine does? The ridges on the trigger feel sharp, would probably need to wear a glove whilst shooting, would tear up my finger. The ridges on the mag release feel fairly sharp as well, may have to consider swapping out that part. The charge handle, eh, I could go either way with that part. It is one of those parts that working with it will breed familiarity and having an extended handle may not make that big a difference, perhaps a case of spending money just to spend money. Trigger....I'm thinking about sending it out, I dry fired a few times, have never felt a trigger like that, does not feel like a lot of take up, almost feels ratchety and then the break. Feels heavy though.
Accessories....plenty of real estate to put a light laser combo on the front underside. I could see a Seekins Precision type angled forward grip would feel good. The attachment points for sling look fragile. Plenty of top rail room for a low profile attachment point on the top rail near the front sight. I have no idea where the rear attachment point would be, there are holes in the SB brace but they look waaaaay too fragile to use one of those points. Open for suggestions there. Lastly, red dot sight is a must, Holosun with the instant on feature for me.
I could see the Skorp going to every range session.
