suppressor ready P-01 holster?
« on: October 23, 2018, 04:40:40 AM »
Search turns up dead end threads with lots of reads; but alas...no answers. Definition of insanity? asking again but expecting different results:

I assume that a proper holster would be kydex. It seems the high front site would prefer a rigid tunnel to assure you clean and fast draw?

I prefer leather and carry both IWB (A usually) Anyone carrying this particular pistol in a holster your particularly happy with?

Although I once owned a couple, I don't really have a SIGnature.

I think you missed something. Go to the full custom holster (IWB or OWB) and look at the options. If you don't see what you are looking for pick up the phone and give Jerry a call.

I found this custom holster pictured with a P-01. Clearly, anyone following this thread and wanting to pursue a purchase is better off making use of the phone. The site is pretty awkward to navigate.

I've got two that I like for my P01 Omega SR.

I've got an appendix carry holster with spare mag holder built (kydex) in from https://blackrhinoconcealment.com/  These guys are easy to deal with and super fast.  If they don't have it they can make it.  They answer the phone and will talk to you about whatever you need.  Very rugged pieces if kydex is your thing.  They will get the nod on some things in the furture from me.  Heck they'll make hoslters for anything you need, flash lights, knives, just ask them!

My second I purchased is actually my EDC, which is an OWB leather from Boriqua Leather.  This thing is top notch.  All hand made, small business made by Alex himself who will keep in contact with you from the begining and send you photo updates along the way.  Work is just gorgeous and he will be making more hoslters/rigs for other firearms for sure.

I will get pictures up later today, but these are the two that I will continue to purchase from for other firearms as well.  Both great companies with outstanding customer service with great product.  You can't ask for more IMO

Those are a couple of good looking options. Thanks for sharing.

Are you experiencing any holster wear with your leather EDC?

I'm trying a Tagua. I've had it almost a week and it seems to be mostly broken in and able to provide both a balance between decent retention and a reasonable effort when executing a draw. It rides comfortably on a bias; grip at 3:00ish and muzzle at 5:00ish. I also notice that the top of the front sight and decocker are showing some wear.
This urban gray looks pretty cool until it wears. The black pistols don't bug me at all with a little rub mark here and there. I may try some clear vinyl 3m paint guard material to protect the muzzle.

BTW, nice grips!

I was going to link to Tagua's sight, but they do not list the "Premium Deluxe" range. I bought this from Holster world on Ebay. Here is their packaging info for this model: I paid $44.00 shipped

So sorry for the late reply.  I have some muzzle wear, it doesn't bother me.  I'm in the beginning stages of starting a second business doing coatings and obtaining my FFL so I may just do a color change on it honestly.  The UG color doesn't make my knees weak anyway, I just wanted the threaded barrel and SH sights and the deal I got was pretty sweet when picking the gun up.

In short, yes it has some wear there but I'm not worried about it.  Adds character for me.  :)

I bought the SR version despite the Urban Gray paint and for the same reasons you mentioned. I'll refinish mine when it bugs me enough. For now, the 3M Scotch Guard paint protector film is keeping it from further wear.

Comp-TAC International kydex has tall sight clearance; have to inspect the muzzle end for suppressor OD but Kydex is easy to thermoform with a heat gun / hair dryer.

That's a sweet holster.  What brand is it?  URL anyone?
