CZ 75 Sp-01 Tactical with 1,000 lumen weapon light

I purchased a used CZ 75 sp-01 tactical and put a 1,000-lumen surefire weapon light on it. Now it"s my official home defense and range gun. I love the accuracy and lack of recoil. No failures to fire so far.

I am wondering how many Sp-01 owners turn them into home defense pistols and mount a weapon light on them?

My SP-01 Tactical is my HD gun and is in my nightstand every night. I put an Inforce APL Gen 3 on it and I'm happy with the set up. I found a nylon holster made for full size guns with a light. I used velcro to hold it inside the drawer so it is in the same consistent and known position should I ever need it. It is a silent, effortless and straight draw upwards.

1000 lumens is a little brght for indoor HD use in my opinion. The 400 lumens on the APL is about as bright as I would want to go. For outdoor use then the more the better. I don't know your house needs so maybe a light outside is needed.

If you ever wake up in the middle of the night (so your eyes are well adjusted to complete darkness), take the light with you and shine it around. See if is too bright for you and if the light blinds you more than helps ID targets. 400 lumens seemed about right for me.

The SP-01 tactical is a great gun and will serve you well.

My current CZ that serves as one of my house guns is my P09 along with a TLR -1HR. Very comfortable with this set up

Yes my CZ-09 is my home protection pistol and it has a Streamlight TLR-1s on it. Right next to my bed every night

I use a Streamlight TLR-1HL on my SP-01. Ive also used a olight 1200 lumen light as well. They both work fine for inside the house even with high gloss while paint on trim work.

1,000 lumens is a LOT indoors. My TLR-1 is 300 lumens and it is very bright inside a dark house, especially with lighter colored walls.
