CZ P-07 40 S&W ??
« on: December 30, 2018, 02:47:41 PM »
Hey guys I thought they make/made a 07 in 40S&W but they do NOT list one on CZUSA ! Maybe I didn't search good enough, Maybe it is a rare bird or something but I just don't see many around. Reason being is I went to the range today with a buddy and even though I have shot with him for years he never really held or shot any of my CZs, he LOVED how my 07 felt and shot. He is a Glock and a 1911 guy and that's fine,,I have both myself. But with that said he is HEAVY into 40 cal and will not switch, period, soooo where can ya find the 40Cal 07s ?? Maybe call Stuart ? I'll keep looking for him but if anyone has any leads that would be cool,,,Thanks

you will need to look at used pistols or the existing "New Old Stock" in a store or on GunBroker

I picked mine up in 2016. I think they stopped producing the P-07 40 S&W in 2017.
It would be worth it to pick one up used, or new old stock.  The trigger is like butter & I shoot it better than any other of my guns!

You can find them by doing an internet search.  Since interest in .40's is decreasing, sometimes you can even find them at a super good price.

When I'm looking on the internet I use the CZ part number/model number for the gun I'm looking for.  Might be hard to find it now that they no longer list it in their catalog.  Mine's a DUTY (the first model P07's made) so the number on the box probably isn't the same as the 2nd generation P07's in .40 S&W.

Another thread on the forum was listing good sales on P01's and P09s at a vendor.  I looked at it and they say they have .40 S&W P07's in stock, too.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I wonder what your buddy would think sbout 15+1 rounds of .40 in a P09.  Maybe one less for me to be tempted with!

Well, 1st we live in a commie state, NY, so the high cap is a no, no! Only Cops and criminals can have cool stuff like that ! LOL Yea the 09 would be an awesome gun but think he is leaning more towards conceal carry which he does every day so the 07 would be much better for that I feel. I'll send him links and info, thanks, guys.

I bought my latest P07 in .40 back in September 2018.  The production date on it is 2014, which tells me just how few CZ must have been selling.  My only caution with the .40 P07 is to be careful with mods.  I tend to get FTF when I lighten the main spring.  I can run a CGW SRS with no issue but I think that some CZs need the heavier mainspring to help tame slide velocity.

I should add though that, despite the sensitivity to the mainspring change, the P07 in .40 is a beautiful platform to shoot.  It just does not feel like a .40 when I shoot mine.  I like to run mine with the factory +2 extensions and those make the .40 P07 a 14+1 round gun which is pretty dang good for that size package

OK.....I vowed to keep gun purchases to 1 this year (my wife has the recording :-)....and P-07 in .40 it is...it's been on the list for a while. To the OP, the best price I found was $424 (no cc fee, no tax, free ship).

...for nickshawn....since you brought up a caliber conversion......  .357 Sig? Don't recall having seen anyone with that conversion in a P-07 .40 [P-06, P-09, SP-01, yes, but not P-07...at least not yet].
