Shadow 2 front sight fiber optic
« on: February 05, 2019, 07:44:16 PM »
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and a new CZ owner (P10c).
I ordered a Shadow 2 on Saturday and am waiting for delivery but the reason for this post is I was wondering if CZ includes a green fiber optic with the Shadow 2.
I don't see red too well so I want to change out the red fiber optic that is on the pistol asap.
If there is not any green fiber optic included where is the best place to purchase some?
I think I heard that it is 1mm in diameter, is that correct?

I remembered that someone had given me some green fiber optic rod a few years back, I checked and it is .040 diameter, so I should be good to go. I am happy that I can avoid the crazy shipping charge that I would have had to pay for a 6 inch piece of fiber optic rod.

Hiya Smokey and thx for the thread, looks like ya got it sorted out. I also preferred the green to the red, altho most of my shooting is indoors so it does not have the pronounced effect you get outside. I seem to recall having to buy two different sizes 1mm and 1.5mm, over the years. And wish I had left the extra rods in a range bag. Haven't show my long slide since it popped out at the range, and odd the gun store at range dosent stock any. And keep a bic and cutting tool packed with it. Cheers.

I just picked mine up and shot for the first time yesterday.
Inside my range it is not very bright on the firing line, and couldn't see the red front sight at all.
Just looked black to me. I'm sure it would show better had there been brighter lights, or I was outdoors.

Try my Feebay ad. $4.95 for 6 inches shipped.  Larryflew there also.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Congrats on your new Shadow 2, I think mine should arrive sometime next week, I'm really looking forward to getting it.
Yes, that's the way it is at the club that I belong to, the lights are kind of dim plus I'm a bit color blind.
But I do see  fluorescent green fairly well and some +1 safety glasses that I picked up make a difference also.
