Is it the firing pin block lift that is bothering you or the camming of the hammer?  Only performance hammer will remove the camming.  CGW has a 3 spring kit, one of which lightens up the lift.  The others that improve the DA pull.  Yeah, doesn't improve the reset if that is an issue...  Might as well buy the hardened firing pin retaining pin while you are at it, especially if you dry fire.  I love my Matte Stainless, only mods were the 3 spring kit, fp retaining pin.  The end of its SA pull is awesome!  Now my 85B had all the special care from CGW, including bushing and milled for red dot.  I am truly blessed, and won't admit which one of these children I like better!

For carrying and general use a CZ P-07, for range only a CZ P-09.
Just my thoughts.

Its a shame that this site is not 'organized for combat',  All the plastic hammer guns should be in one page - the P07/09 have NOTHING to do with the P10 SF guns.  Thus, the shadow gets no light of day, and the P series is now also kinda buried.

One thing to note: The P09 is much easier to work on in terms of CGW components. You can strip and polish/replace easier. The Phantom is a bit harder because of the decocker based in the sear cage.  Generally, the double TB system of the Phantom CAN be more even and smooth once the grit is smoothed out, and the P series CAN have more stacking halfway through the pull.  The remedy?  Go to a large gun show and pick one out of several to get a smooth one.

Tyerone - "Is it the firing pin block lift that is bothering you or the camming of the hammer?" - I'm not sure about the camming, I just don't like the FPB in any of my guns - I usually remove them if it's not that big a deal - the FPB is gone in pretty much all of my Series 80 1911s.  SO I think I'll get the "straight curved SA trigger from CZ directly (https://shop.cz-usa.com/productdetail/40263_strait-curved-sa-trigger-czub-silver) because they are out of stock at Cajun, and then a spacer to replace the FPB lifter and a hardened firing pin retaining pin and a floating trigger pin from Cajun.

If you're thinking about carrying, I'd suggest the P-07 (which is probably what you were thinking of).
Also, the P-07/09 guns feel different than the 75--so try one before you commit.  The internals are very different.  The suggestion for the P-01 and PCR are good ones because those guns feel similar grip shape and trigger reach wise to the one you like but are lighter and/or smaller.  But, if you like the fit/feel of a 4" barrel P-07, it is a fine carry gun option.  I love'em all.

Aren't the p-07 and P-09 pretty similar to each other, aside from the P-09 having a large magazine capacity? They both have the Omega system after all.

The grip and overall lengths of each make them more suitable for their task. The P-07 has a 3.6" barrel and just 7.2 in length, if I remember correctly, and the P-09 has a 4.5" barrel and 8 in length. The grips are like 5.4 vs 5.7. When you see them next to each other there shows to be a huge difference. Operationally they're the same.

I like BOTH the P07 and P09. But, they feel different because the P07 with the shorter grip just seems to LOCK into your hand a bit better.

I'd love to shoot the P09 BESIDE the Phantom one of these days but because they are CZs you just have to buy them.

I ended up getting a PCR - I think I liked the idea of a long 1st DA pull with lighter follow up SA pulls - the decocker seemed to make sense to eliminate any potential AD when lowering the hammer after racking the slide to carry with one in the chamber.  I may replace the hammer spring to get a slightly lower DA pull.  I'm still on the fence about maybe carrying one of my two CZ 75 B stainless guns - one unmodified and one with a SAO trigger - I REALLY like the way that gun feels and the way I shoot it - IMHO, the perfect gun would be the one with the SAO trigger, but I'm hesitant to carry a modified gun for CC and self defense.

UPDATE - after a trip to the range today, I need to find a way to use the CZ 75B as a carry gun - I shot the CZ 75 B far better than I shot the CZ 75 D PCR - even the first DA shot was better with the 75 B.

AND, going through my box of holsters, I found that an inexpensive Glock holster (https://www.amazon.com/Glock-GLOCK-Sport-Combat-Holster/dp/B00IK3XQ4G) is a pretty decent fit for both the CZ 75 B and the CZ 75 D PCR - not perfect and not hand crafted, but it works for me!
