P10 c
« on: February 23, 2019, 08:34:41 AM »
I just picked up a used P10 c and I am really impressed with the quality of this pistol. I was able to get it with the case and all that came in it. The owner said it had been to Cajun for a trigger upgrade. It does feel really nice.
I saw some comments elsewhere about people claiming round counts in the 5,000 round range and no problems. Is that the experience of other owners here? They also say it does fine with any ammo. I never use reloads or steel case, but I do have lots of WWB and Fed aluminum case. I hope I can trust it to spit out any factory ammo I find.
My local range closed and I'm still looking for another place to go. There's an indoor range, but it costs twice what I was paying the old place.
Anyway, I'm happy to have this pistol. BTW, my test target is dated in Nov of 2017 so I assume that is the manufacture date.
I've found that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties.

I had one made in 2017 and only got rid of it when I picked up a FDE one. Mine ran great. I hope you enjoy shooting your P10C as much as I love mine. David

I got mine in late 2017 and probably have over 5K rounds through mine, 90% of that are reloads using 125 gr coated bullets.  I?ve also run a couple hundred 124 gr JHP Gold Dots as well as 147 gr TC bullets no problems.

In addition to mine being an EDC gun I shot it for about 5 months last year in USPSA, first in Production division with iron sights, then in Carry Optics once I had the slide milled for an RMR.  I?ve also shot it in some 3-gun and CCW matches, and it?s running great.

I did change some parts.  Some of my changes were personal preference such as the Dawson sights, Apex extended mag release, and CGW guiderod so I could use lower weight recoil springs to match my load.  Other changes I made were preventative such as the CGW striker (there have been reports of the OEM tip breaking) and CGW pin and striker plate to keep the striker assembly from clocking.  The HBi trigger I replaced the stock trigger shoe was more personal preference since I didn?t like how the stock trigger felt.  I also got some mag extensions that get me +5 and +8 rnds.

Glad you like your P10C.

I have two, and one or the other gets rounds through it almost every week, no issues, and one is the very first run of FDE, that came without night sights. Enjoy in good health, sir.

I have an earlier model. Mine has had the backplate dislodge and cause the slide to hang up on the backplate twice. The striker rotating and hanging the slide up has happened once. Gun has ~3,000rnds through it.

I do NOT trust it. I like it, but will NEVER trust this particular one. I still need to see if CZ will swap the slide for an updated one.

I?m not sure if CZ will swap a slide with yours. They may modify it though. Primary Machine will do the upgrade just like the new ones from the factory!

CGW has an anti rotation kit that also keeps the rear plate from dropping down as well.  I did that upgrade and the tool steel striker to mine.  I also dropped a Suarez flat trigger into mine, too.

I have about 1k through mine with an HBI trigger, #3 Striker spring, #18 recoil spring and SS guide rod.

Ive only shot Blazer brass and Speer Lawman 124gr with no malfunctions. CZs seem to be very picky with what 147gr ammo they can chamber though, its nothing new, most CZs have a shorter chamber than most other pistols.

Can the P-10 c shoot HST 147 well? That is my carry load of choice.

All CZs have a short "throat" and depending on the bullet can have trouble chambering 147s. I have never personally tested them in mine.

Thanks.  I have tentatively narrowed down my next gun to this or a SW  m&p 2.0 c, but the 2.0 seems to group lighter rounds better and the p-10c may not be realizable with them buts seems to shoot heavy stuff as well as lighter stuff.  I am stocked with only 147 stuff for practice and SD for my other 9?s and would rather not do another weight if possible.
