blazer ammo

I have a ? bought 500 rd of blazer 115 have gone through 200 rd  they are very dirty some 13 or so would not cycle. I have used freedom mun. ammo 115 new never a problem. I just bought a phantom and ok to finish of the 300 rd will then go to 124 new has anyone have problems with blazer ammo. thanks

I haven?t used Blazer in a couple of years. I do remember it being dirty. I had no malfunctions with it but 1 round out of 1000 round case had a defect. The bullet was dome shaped. I caught it when loading a mag. It could have gotten stuck in the barrel if it would?ve been chambered.

I?ve been using Fiocchi , S&B, Federal and Remington lately and PPU.

I bought a 1000 rd case and it was stinky too and created both FTF &FTE symptoms in my CZ Scorpion Evo S3 Carbine and my SP01, I cleaned both after shooting each and both guns were nasty. I shot until it was gone cleaning guns after each session as I alwaysdo.  I had 1 bad case out of the 5 I've purchased. This case the Ammo was loose in a bag and not in 50 Rd boxes like always.  I recently bought another case of the same thing and no issues because I've never had problems with Blazer before.  this happened around mid summer. Been good since. BTW , my Dealer moves alot of cases if this Ammo so Blazer just probably had a bad run

 Was the problem with alum. or brass case ammo ?  I've never had a problem with their brass case ammo it's the only factory range ammo I use.  I own seven 9mm firearms that run just fine with the blazer the ammo is a little dirty but most range ammo is plus it's not jacketed ammo it's plated.  I just fired the last of 3,000 rounds of Blazer brass ammo that I bought around Christmas time with no problems.  Blazer, Speer, CCI and Federal are all owned by the same company contact them with your lot number I'll bet they will make it right.

brass is what I buy not that I mind cleaning my gun also ammo was lose in bag one was shorter than the other ones didn't check the other 300 will shoot them. thanks for info.

Dunhams has Blazer 115g & 124g on sale for $8.99/box of 50 so I've been using it quite a bit without any problems.  Fed it through P229 Legion, CZ P07, and Canik TP9SF and don't recall a single failure.

I have no FTE/FTFs shooting the Blazer ammo.    The only thing I noticed is that when shooting my Scorpion, the ammo in the magazine gets dirty.   I bought 2,500 after Thanksgiving for $65 per 500 after rebate.    I'd do it again.

I never had problems with Blazer Brass ammo. S&B, Blazer Brass, Speer Lawman - my favorite and accurate ammo. I prefer 124gr, but Blazer Brass 115gr is also OK. About dirtiness - it depends on batch, but I won't say that Blazer Brass is dirtier than S&B. The most dirty ammo I ever shoot was Remington 115gr sold in bulk.

I shoot blazer brass 124/Speer lawman 124 exclusively in my 9mm czs. The only time I ran into fte/ftf was when I'd run one of my guns dry and needed some oil.

Welcome Aboard !

All the major brands have their "lower expectation ammo" that they won't put their good name on. Remington has UMC. Speer has Blazer. Etc, etc. It's all going to be "iffy" lot to lot, and gun to gun. You really can't expect much from these lines. Besides not being top tier ammo, it simply not consistent enough lot-to-lot for competition.

I understand that shooting is expensive, but if you expect to advance you got to figure out something better. That's why most of us on this forum reload. Have you looked at This Thread ??
