Hiya Pcherry1973 and thx for the thread. Reading the two sentences didn't provide a context for or legal arguments,or precedent to back up the ruling. And the showing of the rifle verses their pink glocks kinda throws one a curve. We don't have the autopsy report either, the home invaded may have had the lethal shots while attacking and the rest of the mag emptied while wiggling around on the deck. No reference to the ladies who went dry,if they survived the home invasion,or wounded a perp, neighbor, etc. Be well.

As much as I applaud this ruling, it is heading to the nutty ninth circus court of appalls without doubt and they will certainly over rule the judge.  Grabbin' Nuisance and Co. will not stop here and will waste valuable taxpayer dollars in a losing battle all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
All of life’s journeys begin by putting one foot in front of the other.

This is;
A )  Huge. A giant win for the 2A.
B )  A certain move to the 9th Circus where one of two things will happen
  1) An appeal will be made to the 9th by The State of California, which will 75% be overturned in the state's favor, and subsequently sent to SCOTUS
  2) The state MAY elect to work around by passing other legislation rather than take the chance of a loss at the SCOTUS level which would invalidate magazine limits nationwide. That is why DC let CCW permits go through, to avoid a national loss. If HRC had won the White House and packed more Leftists on the bench, I would see this as being fast tracked to SCOTUS for permanent losses for us, but now...it's a toss up leaning in our direction.
One note - Prepper Gun Shop worked all night last night filling mag orders, only to be told by the lawyers the next morning to cancel all of them and refund the money. Not sure why, as the order is stated to take effect immediately, like that golden window in DC when anyone could carry openly or concealed without a permit for a couple of days.
All in all, it's one ruling I would have never expected to ever see out of the Golden State of Insanity, and I wish them the best from deep in my heart. NRA, GOA, SAF, JPFO, get in there!

I went to a local LGS Saturday and they had a line of folks around the whole block waiting to put orders in for standard cap mags. Crazy!! I'll wait and see how this plays out, but at least it's a sort of win for us, right.

Because I live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts this could be HUGE! We need Ruthie "WOO WOO" Ginsberg to either retire or go for the dirt nap so we have control over the Court and can start ruling against anti-gun legislation from the Feds and the State's. Thank God for Donald J. Trump, MAGA!

Almost everyone out there has started shipping massive amounts of mags to California. Some even prioritizing Cali orders over other orders.

except for CZ-USA  >:(

http://shop.cz-usa.com/

CZ-USA HAS NO PLANS TO START SALES OF MAGAZINES WITH A CAPACITY OF MORE THAN 10 ROUNDS TO CALIFORNIA.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ORDER THEM IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT OF CALIFORNIA.
YOUR ORDER WILL BE REFUSED.

Has any members from Cal. been able to get high capacity mags? With the mad rush going on, what are the odds of being able to get any at all. Also, why wouldn't cz-usa want to help it's customers in Cal? That's extra business that might never happen again. I know there's probably a reason I'm not seeing, but it still seems like a slap in the face.

Yes, I saw this yesterday when I was on their website checking into the non-availability for the striker for my P10C. Liberal states have gun companies scared.

I bought many magazines Friday night around 11 p.m. Pacific. Received the first round yesterday in the mail.

I just wish I knew what guns I want to buy next as a new gun owner. It's prohibitively expensive to just buy magazines at random ;)

Well, worst case, the mags will keep their value in Cal. When I was younger, when ever I saw a good deal on mags and could afford it, I bought them whether I owned the gun or not. It kind of gave me the excuse to buy the gun. Sometimes they were used as trade for other gun related projects. Now that's just me, but If I lived in Cal. right now, I would be trying to buy as many mags as I would ever need and then some. I kinda get the feeling this won't last long. I hope it does, but Cal. is a whole different country, and I don't see them letting this go on for long.

CZ finally caved and is selling although they'd rather you go through a retailer so they can keep them supplied.

I've read it's estimated over 3 million magazines have shipped into this state in less than a week.
