Breaking in a metal CZ...
« on: April 27, 2019, 12:00:20 PM »
I'm curious what the thoughts of the faithful here are on this topic? Are CZs similar to 1911s with a 500 or so smoothing out period? Do you run heavier ammo? Seems like it should be a similar curve? I'm at a little over 500 on my Rami BD and noticed a considerable improvement in the trigger and overall smoothness already :-)

Hiya cousinmark and thx for your thread. I'm glad to hear that your trigger has improved as is smoother. For a number of models ,over the years, the factory triggers got a tough rap. And took a while for technology to improve the omega decocker triggers. Consider the times you've read I'm adding the CGW trigger, defensive kit ,or a competition hammer, and polishing my internals, and lightening my main springs as projects. And then add to that the amount of guns that CZC or CGW does the after market custom work. So a good amount of folks never experienced the actual factory trigger in some platforms. If you are happy to see improvement in it and saved yourself hundreds, more power to you. But for many, the aftermarket parts and custom work are desired to improve the feel and some performance elements. It makes the owner happier, and helps pay the bills for those in the industry here.Be well.
