Hey gang,well I got my S&W 4006 TSW CHP.
The only word that comes to mind is WOW !!
Mark at Summitgunbrokers was great, quick shipping. The condition I thought was terrific, almost no scratches and they were minor.
A few shiny wear marks but nothing significant.
The grip was a mess on the right hand side as stated in many treads. Inside of the pistol shows very little wear from what I can see, not many shiny holster marks on the barrel, in my opinion extremely clean inside.
The double action and single action triggers are terrific, smooth no stacking, SA breaks like glass.
Using the disassembly reassembly videos from blubelly2 , I completely disassembled polished important parts including all metal-to-metal contact points.
as recieve.
DA 11.6#-SA 6.10#
After: DA 10.9#- SA 6.2#.
This S&W fits like a glove in my hand. Instead of changing out the grip, I decided to stipple it , because I need an aggressive grip with my sweaty hands. Turned out pretty good.
All in all I'm extremely pleased with this and plan on making it my EDC.

Got too shoot the sw 4006 tsw,I need thicker grips for my larger hands, index finger wraps around the trigger and I pull it left, a little. Still within a 10" circle at 20'
Plus my support hand thumb tends to hit the front of the slide release.
Recoil is manageable.
Got a 1000 rnds practice ammo coming to get it right.

I've been handling, shooting, and carrying, this S&W 4006 TSW CHP  that I purchased from Summit GunBroker for $385 plus tax and shipping.
I just might buy another, it's a no-brainer of a purchase at this price. It's going to be a collector's item being it was formerly owned by CHP and was custom built for them by s&w.
This pistol originally sold for between $800 and $900. The one I got and  many others are getting are extremely clean and very little wear.
Disclaimer: I have absolutely no affiliation with Summit GunBroker.
Just a member of this form passing along information of a great deal.

How is the trigger reach in DA of the 4006 compared to the P07?

How is the trigger reach in DA of the 4006 compared to the P07?
I would say about the same , because I had to use the larger back strap on the po7. And on the 4006 I took off the Factory grip and put on a Hogue rubber grip which is significantly bigger, allowing the pad of my index finger to be right on the trigger.
I actually like carrying the 4006 rather than the po9, because the S&W just feels more robust in my hand.

OH , I forgot to mention, the reset after Da is extremely short. The sa trigger pull is probably 1/16 "  and the trigger breaks like glass.
In DA & SA there is NO stacking or staging, or grit. Very very smooth all the way through the trigger pull.

They are still a great gun and probably the best trigger pull I have ever handled.
Check the I got bored thread I recently posted and see what it looks like now.
