Hiya aw85 and thx for your thread. I say you abandon the project. Just because it can be done isn't a reason for doing it. Best idea to have is choose a SA 75b,or another SA platform if you like it. When I had custom work to make a sp-01 shadow a SAO, I discovered its not in its nature to be something it isnt. Be well.

There are several (many, many) threads here on converting a B model to SAO.

Lots of options for which parts to buy and who to buy them  from.

Several mentions of problems people ran in to and what they did to overcome those problems.

I've done one, an uncommon CZ 75 Compact with a steel frame made/shaped like the aluminum P01 frame.  Used mostly CGW parts with a trigger from CZ USA (because it was out of stock every where else at the time).f

Some polishing, replaced the factory trigger return spring and firing pin block spring with the CGW reduced power versions.  Kept the rest of the spring factory/stock.  I had some trigger/reset issues that required some severe head scratching, several tear downs of the pistol/frame to try to figure things out and then a small amount of metal removal from the front/upper part of the trigger up inside the frame (trigger contacted the inside of the frame before allowing reset - of the firing pin block lifting arm (which I left intact/working).  Had an under 3 lb. trigger pull to start with, had some spring issues with the trigger bar lifting spring, corrected that (maybe not completely correctly) and the trigger pull went up to 3 lbs.  A nice crisp 3 lb. trigger still beats the heck out of the factory trigger.

Can't seem to get the search function to work right now.  No matter what I type in it tells me nothing meets the search parameters.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

There is nothing to teach on,disco out, original trigger out,SA trigger in,lower hammer hooks 50%,springs are up to you,may be 15lb hammer spring..Not sure about FPB interaction, since that?s the first thing I do,take it out.

As mentioned above, very easy. Remove disco, install SAO trigger (I remove firing pin block) race hammer makes for a much nicer break. I?ve done this on 3 guns with no issues.

I changed my 75 B to SA only. The trigger feels nicer then the SA in a stock Shadow 2 DA/SA  (the rest of the S2 is a lot nicer)

Take out disconector and firing pin block, ad other hammer and FB spacer. If you dont want/need DA it is a great move.

When someone says it's not a bad job take two things into consideration.

Some people are just naturally more talented at figuring stuff out and making it work.  And, some of us have torn our pistols apart multiple times, that experience makes it easier for us every time we do it.  I once had the left side safety out of a CZ Compact 24 times slowly stoning, cleaning, reinserting and checking for proper function - experience I never want to experience again.

Like anything else, the more you work on it the more familiar you'll be with it and the easier it will become.

Good luck with it.   When you get your parts take a look at the videos, get to work and if you have problems/questions come on back and ask questions.  There's someone (maybe several) here that can help you with it.

I thought about doing this to my CZ75B. Then a friend of mine came over to shoot with his Ruger 1911 Target in 9mm. I feel in love and went and bought my own!

Yeah man, problem solved, that was a good idea.Never thought about it this way.i thought about covert ing my Ruger 1911 into DA/SA,but realized it would be too hard to do,so I converted my CZ into SAO instead.
