Converting Bren 2 and 805 front sling loops to accept QD sling adapter.

So I was looking at my Bren 2's and FN SCAR's when I noticed the front sling loops looked pretty much identical. On my SCAR's I have the part that converts the sling loop to accept the QD adapters. So I removed the part and tried it on Bren 2 w no problems the part fit both perfectly. So if anybody was looking to use sling QD adapters w out taking up rail space and keeping the sling hooked up to the area it was designed for then this is a way to do that which I thought was pretty interesting and worth sharing as I've yet to see another Bren do this.

The same company that makes the FN SCAR sling part that fits the Bren 2 also makes a adapter for the CZ 805 Bren to convert the sling loops..

Pictures now added. The first picture is of my Bren 2 using one of my SCARS QD converter and I had to us cell phone so it?s nothing amazing. The second is the 805 Bren but this time I was able to use the manufactures website picture so it?s better quality.

That is really slick.  Much better than what I was imagining.  I always thought the sling mounts were a bigger opportunity than the safety lever or charging handle for after market mods.

Might have to get me a pair.

Thanks for posting. Its old but new to me and helpful option for QD point. Impact Weapons Components has similar mount that also may work.

If I hadn't just put my fourth sling  on my 805, i might've tried those doohickies; I run QD slings on 2 of my AR's. 

But for some reason, HK clips just feel RIGHT with this firearm, and as I finally got a sling the WORKS, I'll be keeping this setup.


Now if I get an MS2!...

The one listed on top is parker mountain machine.

I will confirm the Impact Weapons Component part can fit. Like its made for it, but the washer will need replacement. Then there is paracord loops....

That’s funny because I just talked to Earl from IWC and he confirmed that the washer for the IWC QD part is too big.  I’m glad I called because I almost just ordered one.

Nice looking piece for sure and better materials compared to the PMM piece.

I can confirm it does not work on my Bren 2s. The forearms are not flat as in the picture. They are angled and the mounts will not seat properly.
