Going to buy a trainer 22
« on: May 10, 2019, 04:18:06 PM »
I just want a simple Basic 4 or 6 Power Scope to shoot 50 yards 75 yards and a hundred yards. Not looking to buy top of the line ammo but mid-grade. Do you think it would be able to keep 1/2 inch groups at 50 yards. Or close too it

Every rifle is a story on to itself, rimfires even more so. All you can do is try your ammo and let the rifle speak. A four or six power scope wont be the limiting factor at 50 yards. You may be fortunate and find a mid grade ammo/rifle combination that gives 1/2 inch at 50 yard groups, realistically your probably going to find yourself on the "close to it" side of things.

Hiya and thx for your thread. My experience has been I get to thrifty to create a platform to shoot off of,and then it ends up in the safe and I get unthrifty to do it proper and offers the enjoyment i wanted in the first place. Find a middle ground if you can, the post history here may offer some help as could a good close look at the platforms reviewed, tested, and enjoyed on you tube videos. Be well.
