Hi All,
Not new to handguns but new to CZ's. I've been hearing and reading lots of great things and want to become the proud owner of one but am struggling to figure out the different models. Had my heart set on the Shadow 2 with the blue grips until i found the "custom shop" models. In the past i've done it both ways with buying lower and putting cash and time in upgrading it, and also just spending the cash up front and have it ready to rock out of the box. I think i want to go with ready to rock from the start on this one. 2 of the ones i was looking at were Shadow 2 orange (91249) and Accushadow 2 - custom shop (91763). Both look very similar (or even the same??) with barrel bushings and improved trigger and i believe nitride finish and adj sights. The Tactical sport orange (91261) also is listed as improved trigger and sights (barrel bushing??). Then there is the A01-LD custom shop that has a bull barrel (so no barrel bushing i guess). Then lastly was looking on Gunbroker to try and get more info and saw a custom orange with a different model number (91764) with lots of the same upgrades listed. Anyway, with dropping this kind of cash i want tot be sure i'm getting the right one so any help understanding the differences on these (or possibly others) would be much appreciated. Hafiii

If you are thinking about shooting competitions go check out your local uspsa or ipsc match.. talk to some people and then read up on the rules and then spend $ wisely.

If this is just a range toy will your range let you rapid fire, draw from holster, move? do they host outlaw matches? do they have anything you can try?

home defense? do you want/need a rail?

Will anyone else need to shoot it?

Any thoughts towards carry optics?

point is pick the right tool for the job.  expand on the purpose and folks here can probably help direct you

if e: all of the above, I'de lean towards a stock shadow 2. great value and versatility and holds its value in case you change your mind later.
