There are many different ways to setup your belt.  Here's my rig I just finished setting up for carry optics:

I put on the inner belt normally, then slide it around so the overlap is in the rear.  This gives me a flat surface from 8 to 4 o'clock.  My outer belt is "upside-down" so the right side overlaps the left in the front.  This way, the gap created by the overlap is at 10:30 instead of near the holster.  This gives the holster mount area of the outer belt a flat surface for the velcro to cling to.  Since the front of the belt tends to sit on my waist lower than the rear, using a mirror, I cant my holster backward so it's vertical when standing in my starting position.   After running my pouches bullets forward forever in "tactical" settings, I switched to bullets out with a slight backwards cant for competition.  Since the Ghost pouches have the option, try both bullets forward/out and see what works for you.  With bullets forward, sometimes I would grab a magazine during movement and find it pointing backwards in my hand.  Bullets out feels more natural to me, since it's the same motion you would use when patting your pockets to check for your keys/phone/etc.  With a slight rearward cant, my wrist doesn't have to bend as much and my forearm is at a more natural angle.  I push my holster and mags as far forward as I can without going past my hipbones, and just enough space between them to index the mags.  Keep in mind that the space will be wider when it's wrapped around your waist than when the belt is laid out flat.  Once I get everything perfect, I use a silver maker to make witness marks on the belts in front of my pants button.  I always wear the same pants when I compete, so as long as the lines are lined up on both belts(and I don't slack on my diet), my gear will always be in the same position on the first try.  I attach the right side of the outer belt at the front, lining up the witness mark with my inner belt, then attach the belt as I go counter clockwise, ensuring it's in full contact with the inner.  If I do it right, the 2nd witness mark will land on top of the first one and all 3 will be at 12 o'clock.

My new rig once my slide gets back from Cerakoting.

Since I?m running Production and CO nd can?t have anything mounted in front of my hip, I overall my outer belt on the front.  I overlap my inner belt in the back.

If I were in limited or open and could mount a mag in the front then I?d do it the other way.
