I'm not an expert, but I've shot many thousands of rounds with quite a few of the most popular optics.
For your intended use and all things considered including cost....JMHO......DeltaPoint Pro. Yeah, I know you said not to consider cost, but sorry I'm not built that way.
DPP is extremely rugged, large metal-shrouded window, top-load battery, 'clicks' for each 1 moa of positive adjustment, LIFETIME warranty. A proven optic. There's a reason it's so popular among top competitors.
Now, IF it was for a DUTY gun.....some would argue justifiably for RMR as it's more compact, sits lower on the slide and perhaps it's even more durable. But, JMO I don't like the smallish window. Every RMR fan is awaiting the large window SRO, but it's unproven and Trijicon already disclaims it's NOT for Duty use. I watched Aaron Cowan's test and had to chuckle when it shattered on the first drop. Not that I go around dropping my guns, but he's made such a big deal of that in other tests, I had to smile when he back-pedaled on this one.
JMHO but I'll enjoy following to see other opinions. -Vinny
