New Kadet 2 conversion
« on: July 05, 2019, 06:29:40 PM »
Received a new 2018 manufactured Kadet conversion kit and was able to mate it with my 75B SA frame without having to do any file/sanding work on the barrel link or rails. The fit was as good as you could hope for with just two fingers of force needed to line everything up in the slide stop hole.

I cleaned one of the magazines and took 100 CCI mini mags out back to my steel range. The gun functioned 100 for 100 with the slide locking back on every empty mag.
I really couldn’t be happier with the fit and function of this CZ .22 conversion kit on my SA frame which in 9mm always had more slide play than my other 75’s but with the Kadet kit, locks up tight like my 50 year old S&W M-41.

This CZ75 was a pleasure to shoot as it always has been, but in 22lr it’s just so ridiculously flat shooting the hits on my transitions were even quicker than with my comped Ruger 22/45 lite as I tend to overrun the targets due to the extremely light gun.
I could actually see dumping my remaining 2 Rugers for another Kadet setup but I’d kill for a shorter slide and mag version for my Shadow line compact if CZ happens to be listening.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your Kadet.  My Kadet is on a SA frame as well, and I like it so much I rarely shoot it as
a 9mm any more.  Makes a good steels gun.

Indeed I am and agree it’s perfect on the SA frame and decided I wouldn’t be swapping uppers back and forth so I sold the 9mm slide to another forum member and happy it will get used.
I do have a second Kadet kit coming for use on my shadow compact frame, of course I won’t be selling that slide.
That still leaves me with a few other 9mm CZ’s but feel a little more rounded out as I’ll likely be shooting a lot more rimfire in the future now that I have a couple more with nice triggers.

Dos Kadet’s
Ended up not really loving the way the kit balances on the compact so it went on a second B-SA. I will still keep my fingers crossed that CZ makes a short slide for the compacts someday but won’t be holding my breath.

Received my Kadet II last week and installed it on my 9mm 75B with no filing and no effort.  Yesterday put 150 CCI Mini Mags through it with no issues at all.  Slide locked back every time.  Half way through it started to rain and I didn't want to go home!  What an easy way to have fun and work on grip, etc.

PS: Am new to this forum.  Thanks to everyone for all the information and good advice!

Welcome to the Forum Badger
And welcome to the KADET side of the CZ world
I love my Kit, on either the Stainless, or (especially) the B-SA Lowers

They are so accurate, it's not funny
It's a lot of fun to pull out your KADET, and out shoot some dude and his high dollar .22 Target Pistol

Hey GBus; looking good my Friend
"Why 2 Ks ?"
'cause two KADETs are better than one !
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

That’s what happens when you leave a couple CZ’s alone in a dark safe.

No down time for cleaning.

2 is 1, one is none.

It seemed like the right thing to do at the time.

Gotta have a guest gun.

Couldn’t decide on grip color, so got both.

I always forget where I put things, I’ve increased my odds.
