Anti CZ/gun "art"
« on: July 26, 2019, 01:39:59 PM »
Picture of "art" on wall at the State Public Defenders office in Athens/Clarke County, GA. Happens to be one of the few blue counties in Georgia. Maybe I'm interpreting this wrong? Seems anti-gun to me. Curious as to the choice of a CZ75.

My CZ75 has only been the death of steel targets, coke cans, old appliances, and a "near" death experience for a fast moving coyote. maybe it's defective?  :-*

Maybe I can talk them into sending a replacement and I can keep the old "defective" one too!?

What is the rationale behind crossing out certain parts?

Blackmun's quote is taken far out of context, as he was referring to the death penalty, not firearms.

If you remove the parts "deleted" from the diagram (barrel, firing pin, sights, etc.), then the CZ 75 "Machinery of Death" would be non-functional.  That's the rationale.  Which is a specious argument for the "common sense firearm safety" crowd since the first thing out of their mouths is that they are NOT coming to take our guns.  ::)

If you choose a CZ-75 for your CCW then one could just as easily refer to it as " CZ-75 Machinery of Life!"

One certainly does not need to remove all highlighted parts to render the 75 inoperable.  For example, remove just the firing pin and it won't work.  One certainly doesn't need sights for it to work (although they do tend to help).  Is this the work of an activist ignorant about guns?

Maybe those parts removed make it Kalifornia compliant?  :P

Even though it is taken out of context in this case, Blackmun wrote the majority opinion in Roe v. Wade, justifying the deaths of upwards of 50 million unborn children in the U.S. Now there is some real machinery of death.

Thank them for posting a picture of a superb defensive sidearm, and move on, leaving them ding the "what the..." thing. It's the same as the ARS 4-229 signs we have in AZ, in reference to the law forbidding lawful firearms carriers from having a firearm in a place that serves open alcohol. 99% of the signs have a drawing of a very high speed/low drag competition style pistol complete with compensator. Never seen a criminal wit one of those types of pistols...ever...
Heck, the Social Security Office in Tucson used to have a no guns sign featuring a RAMI! 8)

CLEARLY it's from a Bohemian emigre - possibly a Russian - and they're protesting the inferiority of com-bloc weaponry in true millennial fashion; whine & complain about GOOD craftsmanship, instead of improving your OWN shoddy workmanship.   ::)

That's how I interpret this... "art."
