SAR K2
« on: August 16, 2019, 04:59:31 PM »
Just picked up a nice SAR K2 in 45 ACP.  Put 100 rds. through it & it runs like a top. Have 3 after market mags that feed ok, but won't hold the slide open on the last shot. Will never carry this beast anyway, so I can deal with it.

Send me an email and I'll send pics of the fix. Pars mags need a screw added in the right spot.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Welcome to the Forum and Congratulations on your acquisition of an SAR K2-45!  8)  :)

Never a problem with the SAR K2-45 Factory Magazines, which I use.  ParaOrdnance P14 Magazines can also be used but won't hold activate the Slide Stop unless the Magazine Follower Slide Stop Shelf is built up.

Send me an email and I'll send pics of the fix. Pars mags need a screw added in the right spot.

It would be great if you could post those pics for everyone else to see.

They used to be here for years (since 2013).  Don't know if the link will work.

Find a small cap screw like those on RC cars etc, drill hole slightly smaller and insert the screw. If you can find a screw I can send you a couple for a paypal $1 friends and family to cover postage and envelope.

Have one too and love it! Bought several Para P-14 mags for it as they were cheap and function perfectly except for slide lockback. Was thinking some JB Weld epoxy might fix the issue. Also thought someone was making an after market follower for a fix if anyone knows where to get such? Can't remember where I saw the thread.

these are all over Gunbroker at $350-ish...the most absurd value in a handgun...all steel...14 rounds of .45...accurate as hell.  I love mine!

Sorry, have been away from the site for awhile. Going to look into the screw deal. Thanks for the tip.
