P-10S first range visit, all good
« on: September 06, 2019, 03:21:13 PM »
Decided to go shake down my new P-10S this morning.  Pistol ran perfectly on Rem UMC 115 FMJ ammo.  Total about 50 rounds at two different ranges, one indoor and one outdoor.  Trigger is good and will only get better with some CGW parts later on.  Here is a target, after 20 rounds to get a feel for the pistol and the sights.

I struggled at the indoor range with seeing the iron sights against a black bullseye, especially at 50 yards.  I couldn't keep all the shots on the paper at 50, even two handed standing.  Not the gun's fault, I just couldn't see well enough to line up the front and rear sights with the target.

Holosun 507C, CZC OR plate, and maybe a Glock 4# striker spring are next.  All good so far.

Glad to hear that the P-10S is running well. I look forward to hearing about how it shapes up with the red dot and other mods.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Thanks, Tok36.

I have moved the Holosun 507C and CZC PT2 plate from the P-10F to the P-10S and will sight it in this week, at the indoor range.  No hurry to change the trigger parts or the striker spring, as the trigger pull is pretty good from the factory, and I am going to wait for the CGW package to be available, then buy everything at once and take the gun apart just once.   I only had to knock off about 1/4" of Kydex at the top of an inexpensive OWB holster to clear the Holosun sight on the P-10S.  Still breaking in the leather part of the holster and getting used to the position and feel of the P-10S while carrying.  So far, I really like it.  Larger and heavier than a PM-9/40, smaller and lighter than a P-07/P-10C.   Just right.
