Very strong design.

The only issue I ever had with mine was a failure to cock, unless you turned the gun over almost on it's side/upside down.

As you thumbed the hammer back it would stop/hang and not go fully to the rear.

Found the pin/spring from the long rod that the cylinder rotates on missing.  That's what pushes the transfer bar safety to the rear so it clears the firing pin as the transfer bar raises as part of the cocking operation.  The transfer bar top would hang on the firing pin.

No idea where it went.  One trip the gun worked, the next time it didn't, I took it all apart and never found it or so it drop out on the towels.

Got a new one from Numrich.  Just something to keep in mind since mine proved it can happen.

You could still cock/fire it if you didn't mind flipping it over when thumbing the hammer back, so it's not like you'd have to pistol whip the bear with it.  Though it is big enough to get a bear's attention.....
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Ahh, there it is, very nice!  I got a knurled locking base pin for my 7.5” Blackhawk from Belt Mountain.  It cured several problems with the factory pin, especially with heavy loads.

Enjoy!

Congrats!  I’ve always wanted one like that.  Hope to hear a range report soon.

The last two Ruger single actions that I ordered had such horrible quality that I wont be buying anything else from them.
I hope you got a good one.

SWEET, "G"
Have always been a Ruger Wheelgun Fan myself
The Super Blackhawk loves 44 Specials too ... quite accurate, with much less recoil
Load them a bit long and watch your groups tighten-up
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Yep, I've been loading 44sp loads in 44 mag cases. A sweet shooter for sure! But 44 mag...the boom of doom!
