I found it very helpful and very informative.  Thank you again!  The Bull Shadow 2 is scheduled to arrive at my FFL this week and when it does I'll be sure to post some fresh pics of it.

That Bull Shadow 2 is pure sex appeal.  I’m hoping at some point CZC gets it approved for USPSA Production division like they did the regular Bull Shadow, and also starts making the slide so that it does not require blending the S2’s frame to fit.

I made the transition from irons to RDS last year.  Typical story, aging eyes made focusing on the front sight difficult.  Prior to that I was an iron sight shooter for a long time.  Late-2016 I started to need special glasses to focus on the front sight, which was fine for range or competition, but I came to the realization that I’m not always going to be wearing those glasses for EDC so that spurred me to make the switch.  So far I’ve converted three of my pistols to RDS, a P10C with RMR,  a Shadow 2 with SRO, and my 1911 Marvel .22 conversion with Vortex Razor that I use for Steel Challenge.  Waiting on the release of the Romeo 0 for my 365XL.

As far as transitioning to RDS, on my P10C I opted for BUIS with the rear sight in front of the optic.  I did change the front sight’s fiber optic from red to green tube so I could tell the difference from the RMR’s red dot.  Initially I did a ton of dry fire to get used to bringing the gun up and having the red dot centered in my line of sight.  Having the irons helped and I probably used the front sight as a crutch for the first 10K or so reps.  After that it became more natural and now I hardly see the irons.

I did shoot my P10C w/ RMR in Carry Optics division for about 6 months in 2018 and part of 2019.  Most dot shooters will tell you they use target-focus for the majority of the shots (focus on the target and pull the trigger when the dot is superimpose on the target).  Maybe 5% of the shots (far shots on small targets) I use dot-focus, but by and large shooting a dot for me is both eyes open and target-focused.

FWIW, when shooting iron sights, I engaged close targets using target-focus, but for the most part 15 yds and further I use front sight-focus.

When I set my Shadow 2 up for Carry Optics with the SRO rds I opted to forgo the rear sight and only retained the front sight more out of habit than anything else.  I did remove the fiber optic tube because I found it too distracting in the larger window of the SRO.  I have considered getting a front sight blank from CGW or maybe even filing down the front post until it’s flush with the top of the slide.  But for now unless it catches my support hand when I rack the slide I’ll leave it alone (I find myself using the optic as a slide-racker...).

Thanks!  It's supposed to arrive at my FFL tomorrow afternoon but I won't actually get to see it until Saturday morning.  The only difference is that it's gonna be wearing a Vortex Venom instead of the Leupold DPP in the pic.  Otherwise, it's the exact same pistol.  I hope CZC gets the Bull 2 approved for USPSA, too, but my plans are to use it in my club's steel matches at first.  USPSA is on the horizon, though, especially if I can get a look at what type of holsters and other equipment work best for that kind of match.

Your input and encouragement are greatly appreciated!

Pics from the seller.  Not great but you can kinda see the Vortex mounted.

My carry optics setup is essentially the same as it is for most other divisions. A 2 part belt, BOSS hanger for the holster to create a drop and offset, and 3 DAA mag pouches arranged with bullets facing out.  Mag pouches and holster behind the hipbone as per the division requirements for Carry Optics.

For mags I’m using the 17 rnd Mecgar mags with a TTI +4 extensions. Grams follower and springs inside the mag give me a 23 rnd capacity and fits the USPSA mag gauge and is under the 141.25mm limit.

Just got back from doing the paperwork on the Bull Shadow 2 and I'm just...speechless.  So what do people who live in states with a 7-day wait on handgun purchases do to cope?  Well, if they're like me, they take lots of crappy photos under artificial light to help them get thru the week!  LOL

Seriously, this is the finest CZ I could ever hope to own.  The slide-to-frame is incredible.  The trigger is amazing.

Thanks!  I guess what surprised me the most was the weight compared to my bone stock Shadow 2.  I don't know what the exact difference is but, the Bull Shadow 2 feels like it's over 8-10 ounces lighter than a Shadow 2.  It's even feels lighter than my SP-01 Shadow Orange.

I've been tempeted to buy a cz 75 sa frame from custom shop and getting a bull shadow slide, there is something about the bull shadow that makes me love it on a 75 B frame!

I didn't think there was a way to make a 75 better-looking but CZ Custom proved me wrong.  They have really been knocking it out of the park the past couple of years.

Theve done beautiful work but the fine folk at cajun gun works look like they're dishing out beautiful handguns that make me worry for my wallet....
