CZ 75 P-01 FS
« on: October 22, 2019, 08:23:23 AM »
I am seeing these new models pop up on GB, assuming the FS means fixed sights.  Looks like a combat rear and also comes with different grips.  Descriptions are saying rubber grips on all of them (all using stock photos like this one), but picture shows different.  I think this setup is a better option for me in my P-01 search.

2nd on the SDP....which is def NOT a standard P-01.  Nothing against the P-01....just double cost to get SDP from CZC.

If, I doubt, but if that's a sdp marked wrong with that price I'd jump on it. Here is a sdp here.

I have submitted questions to 2 of the GB vendors for clarification on the pictured item vs what they are shipping.

I suspect the seller has standard P-01's in stock and just used a (wrong) stock photo in his GB post.

If so, they all did the same.

I would ask the vendor to send a picture of the actual gun to be shipped to me.  If it matches the stock photo in the ad (SDP?), buy it.  When you pick it up at FFL, if it doesn't match the photo, don't sign for it and send it back, ideally at seller's expense.

Be careful on GB. Just read ENTIRE product description.

In this particular case they just used wrong picture. Even sights are wrong...
Gun description says:
Cz p-01 9mm fs 14-shot black polycote finish
FEATURES-3.8" cold hammer forgedbarrel-Aluminum frame-Black polycote finish-Rubber grips-DA/SA trigger-Fixed sights-Firing pin block safety-Decocking lever-Safety stop on hammer-Firing pin block safety-14-round magazine capacity-Double stack magazine

which is exact CZ P-01 stock description.

Absolutely.  I sent a message to two of the sellers for additional info.

I caught that as well, and is one of the features I questioned, along with the rear sight.

Those are all incorrect photos based on the item description, and obviously they all erroneously copied the same photo from whoever made the mistake first.

BE CAREFUL with that because Gunbroker doesn’t hold sellers accountable for bad photos, which only encourages carelessness and this is the result. Lazy people may copy and paste photos without taking a second to verify what they are doing, without consequence. At least you hope it’s just a mistake...

I had a seller - Thegundock - try to send me a different gun than the one in the photos AND description, and then wanted me to pay fees for their mistake. That’s simply fraud, imo. They price one model close to another, much higher than it should be so it doesn’t make any sense, and use the higher priced model photo and misleading description. Turns out the same seller had done it to others and continues doing it to this day. Luckily I threatened to sue and he refunded me and then I was able to get my pistol from an honest seller. Can you guess which model this listing is for? Here’s a clue - it’s not the one in the photo, or the item description! Shame on you Gunbroker (they are already well aware of this) and Thegundock as well
