Anyone running a RDS on their compact?  If so, who did the milling?  What RDS are you running?  BUIS?  Absolute or 1/3 co-witness?

We've got a DP Pro on a CZ75 Compact.

Used the DP Pro rear sight on the back of it with a new/taller front sight.

Primary Machine milled the slide, cerakoted the slide and installed the new front sight.

The front sight (fiber optic rod in the blade) is so close to the red dot it confused my wife.  I changed the FO rod to a green one so it was different than the DP Pro amber/reddish looking dot so she'd know which one to use.

There's no plate between the slide and the DP Pro so the sight probably sits lower on the slide than one with a plate between it and the slide would sit.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I'm planning to have Primary Machine mill one of my P-01 slides for the Sig Romeo Zero. Looks to be the same dimensionally as the Shield RMSC. These two red dots appear to be the only options for co-witness with stock rear sights and also fitting the slide without sticking out over the sides. Food for thought...

There's also the JPoint, but it's basically a Shield RMSc.  Rumor has it that Holosun will announce a new micro RDS at Shot Show in Jan.  I have their HS507C on two of my P320's and really like it.  If they do bring out a micro RDS then I would be all over it.

I need to check out Primary Machine as see what they offer.

Thanks for the info!

Same here, Primary Machine. Did a great job with a RMR. I regret the BUIS completely, but that is because I'm still trying to get a handle on the red dot.

I have a Venom on one of my P-01's and like the set up, using the vertical 'goal post' markings on the Venom as my rear BUIS with a tall green FO front. CZC did a precision job on the milling and mounting with their interchangeable plates. CGW also offers something similar and they also do excellent work. Although I like the Venom, I could switch to a different optic if something better comes down the pike.

Here's an image of the RMS on my other P-01 done by Primary. The RMS sits low enough the stock sights lower 1/3 co-witness. However, because the RMS has limited elevation adjustment, I had to add a 1 deg Delrin shim to get enough forward tilt to get it to zero at 10 yards SD range. The RMS or RMSc are rather flimsy compared to the Venom, DPPro, RMR or SIG Romeo 1 red dots I have on other pistols.  JMO  YMMV

Now that's more like what I want, 1/3 co-witness.  Rumor as it (from an inside source) that Holosun will announce a micro RDS, metal, with a glass lens, at Shot Show in Jan.  About the same size as the JPoint, RMSc, and Romeo Zero, with a RMSc footprint.  I'm waiting until then to find out if it's true before I buy.  I use the Holosun HS507C on 2 of my P320's and I really like them.

The narrow top of slide on CZ-75's require a mounting plate to accomodate the wide hole pattern for the regular size RMR's and Holosun's, so something of similar quality with a narrower hole-pattern and overall width would be worth waiting for.

I'm thinking I've seen the wider red dots mounted directly to a 75 slide with no plate. Has anyone done this?

I believe a CZ 75 variant can be milled to directly mount a Vortex Venom or Viper. Maybe even a DPPro or SIG Romeo1. It's the wide RMR/Holosun hole mount pattern that presents the major issue. But I defer to the experience of CZC, CGW, or Primary to fully explain your options on a 75 compact.
