P-10C Optic Ready Plates, OEM and CZC
« on: October 28, 2019, 10:11:56 AM »
Comparison of the factory plates and the ones from CZC.  The OEM plates are steel, 1oz heavier, and the finish isn't like the slide's black nitride.  It's more like black oxide, while the anodizing on the CZ is smooth.  However, the OEM plate fits my SRO tightly enough that I can pickup the slide by the optic without the screws in place and the extra material fills in the space ahead of the optic.  The plates are the same thickness, .106" of threads for the SRO screws.  Kudos to CZ for boring pockets under the mounting holes.  Slightly longer 7/16" screws can get 3 full threads of engagement, so no worries about stripping them, and they don't contact the slide and put stress on the plate like with Glock MOS.  The 1/2" long screws that come with RMR/SROs are still a hair too long though and contact the bottom of the slide pockets.  Both plates fit the slide equally well.

That is a clever feature.

If Glock had done this with the MOS I bet there'd be fewer reports of cracked plates/broken or stripped optic screws.

Great informative post, thanks!  I'll be picking up my new P-10C OR next week, and I already have a Holosun HS507C so I just need to get the mounting plate and some sights.  I like the looks of the CZ plate but they seem to be out of stock right now.  I'm not sure about sights.  I would prefer night sights that would give me a 1/3 co-witness.  I'll keep looking for those.

I called CZ USA to back order the optic plate 1 (rmr/holosun) with the cowitness sights. They showed out of stock on the website but they shipped the next day. I received them about 3 days after I called. It’s worth a try to call.

I noticed yesterday that the plates were back in stock, but the plates with the sights are still out of stock.

Where are you finding the combination plate & sights?

Has anyone ever seen these in the wild?

Anyone have a set?

Photos?

Thanks!

I ordered direct from CZUSA customer service. They showed out of stock on the website but they let me back order. They shipped the next day.

That’s the best I have. I don’t have a P10 to mount them on yet.
