452 Super Match.
« on: November 02, 2019, 11:05:20 PM »
Off and on over the years I have run across various CZ rimfires at gun shows and shops but never pulled the trigger. A little over a month ago this showed up on a dealers table NIB. I told myself I should get it but never heard of a Super Match and I thought the 452's were phased out. It was still there at the next show but again I passed on it. With it still being there at todays show I finally bought it. Is there a way to tell when it was built? I'm looking forward to trying it out this week. I have a pretty good variety of ammo to run through it.

Just above the N on the receiver and barrel is a 2 digit stamp. That will be the year of manufacture. It looks like 09 = 2009.

Nice find by the way.

Usually they come with targets that are dated.
Did yours come with a target in the box ?

It looks like "CIP" above the "N" on the receiver to me. Not sure what that means or I am just not seeing it correctly. I made a quick range trip and I'm quite pleased with how great this rifle works. The bottom target was fired with 10 rounds of bulk Blazer lead points. The top target was 10 rounds of Aguila Super Extra lead points. Both were fired at 25 yards, open sights off forearm rest.

I will dig the rifle box out of my attic and see if I can find a factory target in there. Thanks for the replies.

This is what one of mine has. There are variations, but not sure if I've ever heard of a gun with no date stamp. Usually two, receiver and barrel. This is a 07 = 2007.

Edit to add; Nice shooting! I'm jealous, haven't been able to shoot open sights in awhile.

I found the factory target in the bottom of the box. It is dated 9 12 2014. The Aguila ammo I used was Super Extra and not Super Target as posted above (I corrected it). I don't think Super Target exists. I have some Wolf Match Target to try out as well as some Norma TAC 22. I am ready for another range trip!
