Yeah I'm one of those idiots. I was taking the "backrow" guns out for the annual oil and lube and found a mystery rifle. I keep all my long guns in socks and know, or thought I knew, everybody in the back row; all my long time hunting buddies. When I grabbed the barrel I knew something was off, too big a diameter, no sights, but too short for a long range unit. I pulled it out and found a CZ 452 Varmint 22 in a custom stock, scoped, bedded, action job, basically ready to go. Not going to lie I was confused. Took a minute and looking at my photo archive but it all came back to me. Got it a year ago, cleaned and lubed it then LIFE took a big change. I put it in a gun sock set it the back and forgot about it. Didn't do a lot of rifle shooting over the winter while getting through all the HooHa. Then we were gone most of the summer. Got back last week and I was getting my favorites out for a kickoff winter range trip tomorrow. Guess we'll have a new friend join us.
