Tristars of all the P, T and C line 120 and 100s shoot pretty darn good. I love my T-100 and I have yet to order any springs just yet from CGW. I wanted to see how it faired after break in and so far I have not been disappointed. I definitely can see a 120 model in my future after my other purchases
Don't wait too long. :
Don't forget that Canik stopped production on their steel guns. Tristar will still sell what's already in the supply line but who knows how long they will be available.

Any truth to this horror ?

I have no idea if that is true.  My 2013 built C-100 will always stay in my possession, outstanding shooter.

This same rumor was going around about a year ago .

I can tell you this a Wholesale Distributor just got in a whole bunch of new steel-framed caniks, I think these are just made in batches and when they run out of inventory it just takes time for the next shipment to come in and clear customs

Can you share the name of the distributor ? Btw this is my source : Go to the 3rd post : https://canikfanatikforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=1993 : Certainly bad news if true. Hard to beat the value of these steel / Alloy framed Caniks. With the exemption of the triggers I think they are nicer than the base CZ models : CZ-75 / SP-01 etc...  Anybody else heard anything ?

Fwiw I spoke with another Wholesale Distributor today Sunset Distributing and they said that they had received the 20/20 price list from TriStar and all of the steel-framed guns are still on there the only exception is everything is in 9 m m now no more 40 caliber so that's two Wholesale Distributors that have confirmed the steel-framed TriStar guns are still being made and imported

Interesting you mentioned the .40 cal versions. I was actually considering one but I never see a P-120 in 40.

Basically set your calendar.  Its every 6 months there is a post like this.  By the sounds of it they are still making them and we are good for another 6 months.

Actually I called a 3rd distributor, they said the same thing , Tristar has all the steel models on there 2020/2021proce lost.  The only ones that are discontinued are the 40 calibers .

I talked to lipseys , Bill hicks , and sunset distributing, all 3 of those are wholesalers.  All confirmed the same thing .

One thing I forgot to mention is they did say the process are going up next year.  They didn't know yet how much, but my lipseys guy said probably around 3 - 5 % , but that again would not take affect till next year.

I don't follow the Canik line, but are they still making the L-120? The alloy full size frame is one of my favorites.

Ok , here is what's available as of the new 2020 price / import list that was put out by Tristar for there wholesale distributor network .

As was mentioned above , no more 40 calibers, only 9mm .

P-100 with  rail , black only

P-120 with rail , available in both black and chrome .

C-100 , available in black and tungsten .

S- 120 available in black , and chrome .

T-100 , available in black only .

T-120 , available in black , tungsten , and desert tan .

These are the models that are being imported for 2020 .

As I said, there will be a price increase at the begining of the year .

This info is direct from Tristar, no bull bleep or Internet rumors .

Hope this helps!

It felt like they dropped the L-120 like 6mo after I bought mine a few years ago I liked It so much I was thinking of getting a second one but my LGS dropped It, and I checked Tri-stars  site It was gone

That's too bad. I thought it fit a nice niche in the market. I ordered one hoping I could have a light weight Kadet. Sadly it didn't fit. Still makes a great light weight full size carry.
